Tried searching but have not seen any updated threads.

I know Parker is closed but I was granted a one time visitor pass from the Bureau of RDP

Where is a good place to launch at Parker? Ill be coming from Havasu for the day.

I used to use the first state park you come to. Can’t think of name right now. Or pirates has a decent ramp. There are others locals know of.

We usually drive to Rock House on CA side. Protected from current...free

Coming from Havasu ... Buckskin or castle shores maybe. Never launched on the AZ side of the river.

There is a public launch just south of the keys , wide launch not too busy .
This is what i would suggest too. Free, parking right across the street, and close to 95 also.

I used to use Pirates but I saw a guy rip his trailer in half on the south side of the ramp. He backed down to far and it was a 2 foot drop. His axles hung up and he tried to throttle out. It was painful to watch.

Speaking of the Keys, why does no one use the ramp located within the keys? I’ve been there with friends launching 21’ and 18’ boats. Something wrong with it for larger boats?

This is what I’m worried about, I think I read your previous post about this happening.

great place to launch - just easy on entry from both up and down river hug the shoreline and go slow.

Yes I have traveled through there during low water and you don't want to be anywhere near that Island in the middle during any water conditions. If you hug shoreline going down river it is easier, however it is indeed possible to go up river by the shoreline also just not as easily as down river. If your not well versed with the river I personally would launch at ramp south of the keys where someone posted aerial pic. Very long gentle slope ramp and current is next to nothing.

I used to do Pirates, but the public ramp is simple also. I've been using that mostly because it's closer to my storage unit. If I had a boat that was over 30 ft, I'd probably use the ramp by Bluewater.

I use the bluewater, but I stay there and my boat storage is close to there. I dont know that anyone would chase you down if u didn't pay to launch.
