Had one open about a block away from me recently and my neighbors that take care of their cars highly recommend it. Only washed my daily driver twice since I bought her in May and gonna have to give this a try as I don't trust contact car washes...

I only take my beater to car washes, but this looks pretty good for knocking off the dust, or current ash on my other car. Wish one was closer.

Side note: I wonder how profitable these things are. Every week I take my SUV in, and it's packed. Fast5xpress seems to print money.

Be careful those usually use waaaay more caustic type cleaners and can cause problems like eating plastic parts you can't see among other stuff

I don’t know much about in bay automatics, I have a self service coin car wash. I do know that automatics like this that are without some type of friction (brush) rely on a aggressive soap. I use blue coral soap and Rainx for my wax. I use a hogs hair brush which is soft, however I would always recommend rinsing the brush prior with high pressure rinse as you don’t know what customer prior used it on.

fast5express is an express wash, they use good equipment and chemicals, however I have seen personally a few cars get damaged by their equipment at the one in the city I work. They push out over 1000 cars on a busy day, i wish I had that problem

my cars have so much ceramic coating on them at this point i dont even have to use soap anymore. i just rinse em off. the water at my house is fairly hard so i usually head over to the self car wash and for like $1.50 late night I can do each car and dont dry em off, no water spots in the morning. I eventually would like to get one of those CR spotless systems but its hard to beat $2 a wash...

I used to go to one of those "h2o GO" places on a monthly unlimited pass and id stop every day on the way home... but they started getting super restrictive on their water for rinsing and my wifes white car started to get blue staining on the rear hatch gaps and they refused to do anything about it... so bye bye. as mentioned above i think those "touchelss" car washes use super harsh soap. my work has one of those "waterless car washes" for free and I wont let them near my cars with a 20 ft pole. heeeelll no.

This was what i did for 30 years. Just stand outside the door during the 1sr pass and take a good deep breath.
All that acid sits in the crevices of your car and just keeps eating.
I would take my chaces with friction every time.
