Please explain. Why would he have to answer to the city counsel? Isn’t he the highest elected official in LA County?like everything else in California. Luna bought and paid for . he is just a pawn. for la city council commies.........................................................................................................
You are correct but why does the sheriff have to answer to the county supervisors if he is the highest elected officialPlease explain. Why would he have to answer to the city counsel? Isn’t he the highest elected official in LA County?
Because LA County supervisors voted to give themselves the power to fire the Sheriff if they so choose. You are correct but why does the sheriff have to answer to the county supervisors if he is the highest elected official
I know and that's bullshit but I know you agreeBecause LA County supervisors voted to give themselves the power to fire the Sheriff if they so choose.
Yesh, I can't see how there isn't a checks and balances process for something like that.I know and that's bullshit but I know you agree
Personally I think Villanueva was a better Sheriff. He understood that law enforcement is a para military organization. Did Deputies take that to far? If you listen to the left, they did. If you listen to the the right, maybe not. The tattoo thing was blown way out of proporation.I know and that's bullshit but I know you agree

Sheriff is the lead law man but still has to answer to the BOS... BOS has significant powers in the county ie: The LASD budget (including salaries) and approval of all county contracts. They have the authority to supervise all county entitiesYou are correct but why does the sheriff have to answer to the county supervisors if he is the highest elected official
Got it. It’s sad to see what is happening to a great agency!Sheriff is the lead law man but still has to answer to the BOS... Correct, BOS didn't like him because he didn't jump to their every request. He reminded them that while he is obligated to work with the BOS he is not bound to them because he was elected by the people and is the Sheriff. That didn't go over to well naturally because he was right so they put on the ballet that the BOS has the power to fire a Sheriff at any time and it passed of course. So now being the Sheriff is merely a high paid title no more because if you don't do as the BOS says to do you are fired on the spot.Sheriff is the lead law man but still has to answer to the BOS...
