Large Tank Anodizing around Gardena, CA

Many of the anodizing shops that I've used no longer have bigger tanks for Anodizing. I have a 3"x6"x5ft long aluminum transom bar that needs to be anodized purple.

Anyone know of any shops around the area that still have large tanks to anodize a 5ft long piece?

Think it depends on location. We used to use them a lot, but stopped using machined aluminum many years ago.... So things might have changed.

They for sure have large tanks, Iv seen 6ft plus billet levels they do custom colors on. amp research stuff is up to I think 8ft range

Talked to Dunham in OC and they don't have a tank that can do purple that is large enough.

I actually called 12+ anodizing shops to see if they had a tank that is big enough to do purple. Most can only do clear or black with a large tank.

LnL Anodizing said they can do it! I just sent them an email asking for a quote.

I used Precision anodizing and plating in Anaheim on Miller and Crowther. Never a problem with thousands of feet of tubing over the years. all 12' lengths

They just charged a buddy of mine (who gives them a whole bunch of production business) $1000 for 6 aluminum trailer wheels in black.

Advanced Tech on N. Grove in Anaheim is cheapest if paying by cash.

Precision is best for MIL spec. at least this is the experience today from Power Plus and Temp Power. your results might differ.

Yup I was going to suggest them. We used them to clear anodize two 40 gallon saddle tanks for a boat project. They had no issues with it and it came out as expected.

LnL is Larry. He’s a v-driver. Owns the Macho Boat Billy did. Good guy, has done a ton of anno for my boats.

Do anodizers do one-off/short run custom colors? I know anodizers often do black or clear but custom colors seems unusual to me. Let us know if you find a place

Custom Metal Finishing on the corner of Western Ave. & 178th st., up the street from where Schiada started. Don't know how large their tanks are. They did do a couple of re-anodizing for my Schiada that started to fade.
