ive used a "polar bear" soft cooler from amazon for a few seasons. Everything from the boat to rolling around in the jeep. Holds about 24 cans or so..works for me. And recently ordered a custom embroidered one from Eliminator (AO Coolers). The AO seems to be better quality.

We bought ours from Shockwave, I don't know who they buy them from. I was worried that the ice would melt in a couple of hours in the Parker heat, but they stay cold all day and then some.

A good method to help ice hold out longer, is to put in a Deep Freezer set to maximum cold setting. Sound silly, but colder ice lasts a lot longer. I learned this trick in Louisiana, on a seven day fishing trip.

I agree, I've learned this in Havasu time after time. Buy a 10 lb bag of ice and it melts to 5 lbs walking from the store to your car. :grumble:

Still love my AO coolers. My 36 and 12 pack going on 6 eyars old. the 12 pack I use almost every day. I did buy a couple of the Costco soft side coolers last year and have used them a few times. They work good too.

I have a 48 can AO cooler. Works GREAT! No leaks and holds ice for 2 days of starting with cold beers and people remember to zip it back shut.

of all the soft coolers ive had, the AO coolers have been the best.

i want to try the yeti soft side for my sandcar. http://yeticoolers.com/coolers/shop-by-category/hopper-series/

aint cheap by any means, but they seam very durable and my AO coolers seem to get the shit beat outa them in my sandcar and tend to leak thru the zipper pretty good when i strap them down to keep everything from bouncing around.

The coolers Shockwave has are from AO. They are good coolers. I had two that started leaking. My fault for putting in crunched beer cans and having them bounce around in my jet skis. I took them to AO to pay and have them replace the liners and they just gave me two brand new ones free of charge.

I have 4 AO coolers. 1-48 and 3-24's. they work great and are very durable. If I can make a suggestion, we rarely take the 48 on the Boat anymore because it's so big (and frickin heavy as shit when full). Much easier carrying 2 24"s, and easier to stow away.. you'll thank me one day ;)

X2...tendency is too put too much in it and you need a forklift to handle.

I have one, great cooler. Holds ice like no soft cooler I've ever had. Your right about the price, I walked in and walked out of West Marine 3 times before I bought it. I'm 215lbs, I can sit on the cooler and the zipper will not leak.

Thanks all, I put either a half gallon or gallon size block in the cooler depending on the size it makes a world of difference how long the ice lasts. Takes up some room but at the end of the day I have plenty of ice left.

The block ice does last longer, but I find it too difficult to fit into cups for cocktails.

I always throw a few pieces of dry ice in the bottom of my coolers then the regular ice lasts all day even in August.

I am the same way. My personalized cooler leaks bad, I need a new one. Tired of repairing and they leak again.

Quit complaining China's a long boat ride...lol

Mine need more than liners. One has a zipper separating and one has the side piece that came un sewed.

Thanks for the info on this. I was just thinking of getting one or two 48's. I bought my 18's because they fit perfect in my skis, they're two small for my boat. Maybe I'll just get 24 or 36's.

AO is in Corona. If you go there they will get done faster. If it's a manufacture defect they will probably give you new ones.
