I definitely include 1883 as a fav. Perhaps the most authentic western I’ve seen. They even had dirt under their fingernails. The relationship Hill and McGraw had with that young girl . . . . Doesn’t get any better than that.

I agree, great series.

Little known fact and when I learned this a few years ago I thought of all my favorite western films and tv shows that flat got this wrong or didn't care or didn't know.
Belt loops on trousers weren't around in the in the old West. They wore suspenders with their pants or their pants had that built in buckle on the rear.
Loops were invented in 1922 by Levi Strauss.

Did the first two seasons of Goliath with Billy . He is such a good guy to work with too . He would chat with me all the time and always started the convo with things like " Good Morning " ," What did ya do this weekend " , " Got any plans this weekend " . He was very connected with us on the crew .

Going to watch ep 10 today at some point. Ya....the wait for a new season sucks....lol

Started watching some Goliath last night. I like it so far.........I also like that there are 4 seasons completed (I think) so I can binge this one. Good recommendation as I had never heard of it.

I don't have patience to wait for new seasons or weekly for a new ep.....just drop em all and be done with it.....

Billy Bob is 100% on it.
You’re not taking old folks to a strip club in a van without a chauffeur license, you’re not appointing an underling as President on your death bed without board approval (and that’s not happening), you’re not going to witness a cartel shooting and be let go by the gangsters, your not lighting a match within 5’ of a gas soaked person without blowing up the whole room…etc etc.

There’s a lot to overlook, but it’s well worth it to just enjoy the ride!

I thought Paul Harvey at the beginning was a nice touch. And seeing Andy Garcia was a surprise. Good first season for sure.

Ranchers in Montana aren't gangsters either, but it makes for good TV.

But all of these shows are 90% bullshit, but they are entertaining... Which is why I like them. As long as the story holds up anyway.

One thing I’ve learned in my 35 year career is that Texans really have no control over it.
Being a dick is ingrained in their very being.
I once took a $300 a day pay cut to do directional work on a Canelson rig in Pecos with a bunch of Canadians (cool guys) rather than work on a big dog drilling rig in Midland.
It was a no brainer.
Every single Texan I ever saw come to Prudhoe Bay, from drilling engineers right down to floor hand made it exactly one day before they got shipped back to texas or the gulf.
It’s no surprise at all that you said Alaska sucks.
You’re certainly not the first or the last Texan that couldn’t cut it there.
Prudhoe is second only to the North Sea in technology, while the Permian operations are, well, not quite up to that level.
