It’s on super VOD on the box.

I enjoyed it so far, BB kills it for sure, but just know that the oilfield references are absolutely ridiculous. 😂😂
I loved the scene in which BB closed the valve with the flames nearly licking his back. 😏

The entire valve scene made me lol.
A pump Jack is basically a lift pump like an old water well handle pump.
They pump oil up because…wait for it…there is insufficient formation pressure to push oil out. An out of service pump Jack doesn’t just sit there with an “open to the world” conduit to the reservoir. Lol
So while residual gas may certainly accumulate in an oil well, there is really no way for a continuous high pressure release because the well will already be shut in by the crew that shut down the Jack. And NO ONE is going to work on the surface lines without checking annular pressures…even in west Texas. I’ve done a lot of work around Midland, Odessa, and Pecos. (Permian Basin)
And while it’s true that some West Texas operations are …ahem…”antiquated”, they are mixing together a lot of unlikelyhoods and calling it sop.
Anyway, I do like the show, Billy Bob can polish anything up sufficiently!
It is hard to nail down the actual premise though?
It’s based on west Texas oil operations…but they generated 8 bodies in the first episode?
(The cartel guy in scene one, the pilot, the truck driver, the 2 guys unloading the airplane, and the 3 Mexican hands)

At that rate they’re going to kill more people than John Rambo!
The daughter is 17, and told her dad (BB) that her stud boyfriend can cum anywhere he wants on her?

Maybe it’ll settle down into an actual plot or something?
Then again, with a Taylor Sheridan gig you never really know.

The daughter is actually 27 and hot AF. That scene was cringe worthy though. Most of the daughter scenes are. She was in 1923 as well, my wife said Sheridan must be fucking her……🤦🏼‍♂️

Good summary. I may have some interest in WTI in the Permian basin south of Lubbock 😉. Family has been drilling post war (that would be WWII after they came home).

I think it's good so far, and entertaining. Sure it's still a tv show. Crazy thing, my uncle used to run and maintain all the unmanned oil rigs in the central Texas area around us when I was a kid and he would buy Dr Pepper by the pallet! He always had a cooler full of them in his truck, I remember a pallet always sitting in his garage. When BB did that it immediately brought that memory back. I went with him sometimes as a kid, and remember hauling ass down dirt roads all day was so much fun

It's fine to use a pipe wrench on a valve. Just make sure the hammer union next to it isn't loose

We are the 3rd biggest producer in Alaska. Alaska sucks
It was a good place to break out.
15 years or so with NAD, then a couple with Doyon.
Then I went Directional in the lower 48 and never looked back.
I lived there 35 years, still go back on occasion to visit, got a sister still alive up there.
