So the same day last year F-1 announced they were coming to Las Vegas I contacted guest services At the Cosmo.

After many emails in early March they responded to my request for a race view Room for us and our special clients. Price, $110,000 per night, 2 night minimum. F that.

Fast forward some Vegas car friends told us about their weekend love shack condo at the Veer condos. We checked it out. Amenities X-100, and tons of free valet parking.

We just closed on a “corporate shack”, 16th floor east tower, right on Las Vegas bl and Harmon, unobstructed view south end of lv bl, the turn, and all of Harmon to the Paddock.

Two photos are from the 37th floor pool and BBQ/ bar deck, that is hardly ever occupied. Most units are corporate owned or mail drops for $$$ Cali residents we learned.

Has huge workout area, saunas, steam rooms, ex lounge, coffee rooms, concierge, heavy security, etc.

All about who you know when it comes to this event. Huge $$$$, those rooms at $110k/night sell like hot cakes. I’ll be track side at a bottle service table.

Edit. Should have prefaced this with the “all about who you know”. I know someone in the industry….she sleeps next to me most nights 😂. Definitely not because I’m a baller.

We got a very good deal, all we wanted was a 1 bedroom, about 716 square feet. $550,000. If we had purchased a large 2 bedroom ever RDP member would installs be a friend, ever Gramps! This works,
Wife is happy x-10, that is life is about.

The HOA is $770, cheap for what you get. Downstairs is Aria, Crystals shopping area, and inside people
Mover that goes to Cosmo, and Bellagio 24/7 for free.

Thats awesome....so how do the RDP sign ups work, first come first serve, a lottery system, favoritism?? For real though, thats gonna be a great view of the race, my son and I looked into tickets but they are crazy for just GA.

My Caesars casino host comped me a suite for 4 nights overlooking the strip and 2 passes for Friday trackside/no tickets for Sat or Sun.. I may not be able to make it til Friday night so I may be giving these tickets away unless he says I have to show up to pick them up personally, Host at Bellagio also comped me a 2 bdroom suite fountain view for 4 nights, I said YES just in case the view was better for Saturday/Sunday. Crazy tickets for the race suites are $11,500 per person at the Bellagio and the suite he always comps me at Bellagio are going to be going over 20k a night, NUTS NUTS NUTS for event, fricken crazy. Friends say I should check in at both since both are comped and sell one of rooms closer to the race date for 25k, would be some decent gambling money for the weekend that is for sure.

One more reason for me to be envious of you @boatpi , that is amazing.

I live in the 28th floor of a highrise and look out at the view sometimes and cant believe that I am so blessed to be able to do that. Enjoy the views and ameneties.

Am I crazy? That actually sounds like a pretty good deal. Congrats.

I’ve been told the homeowners association is working on a plan to cater and supply the booze for an event on the 37th floor pool deck I’ll see how that goes. It may be residents only not sure if I can get extra tickets but I’m sure it’s gonna take a few months to figure out
I can tell you yes New Year’s Eve is going to be sick. There’s like six casinos at once right after fireworks and we’re about I’m level with the top of the Eiffel tower.

110k a night!!! Ho Lee fuk!

Congrats on the new pad! That really doesn’t sound that bad given the current real estate climate.

I got a similar quote from Aria, told them (or rather in my mind) to go fugg themselves. What the hell, I've been to Dubai and Monaco and things aren't that expensive even there.. This is just the new thing in town that's why they can demand so much. Guess I need to make more money is the final answer lol!

Enjoy the race! It will be a good vibe for sure

We try to go to one F1 race per year somewhere that we have not been. No way I would pay $$$ go to Vegas the first year until we see how the racing is. BUT, if someone invites us to the RDP event there, we are in...

I was looking at Abu Dhabi tickets and hotels yesterday. It just takes soooo long to get there. My wife won't go back to Mexico.

It'd be a hell of a lot cheaper to just charter a helicopter and watch some of the race from the air. Grab a bunch of baller pics then fly back to Henderson and watch the rest of the race from the house and get drunk haha.

I always see choppers around Vegas, not sure if there's a rule that says you need to be moving and can't just hover somewhere!
I’m pretty sure it would be cheaper to fly a G5 from LA to New York and back. Then land in Vegas. Then get on the chartered helicopter lol.

Maybe I missed it, but how are you watching the race? Watching from a hotel room with just the sound on the TV still wouldn't do it for me.

So all 3 airports in Vegas are charging a $3k landing fee for the whole event. Even just to land and drop someone off or pick someone up at Henderson or north Las Vegas. $3k landing fee. Even for a Cessna 152. This blows my mind and seems like a little overreach from the county government.

They have to pay the FIA's ransom for the race somehow.

They offered me rooms at the Venetian a year ago for $1800/night and now they called me and said they will comp my room. Same at Aria or Bellagio. I don’t think they’re going to make what they thought they were originally. Vegas is starting to slow down and their timing was bad for this event. One year too late in my opinion.

We might still go and check it out but it’s 50/50.

I bet there are F1 guys holding their hats right now.

They thought they were gonna make cubic dollars on this deal. They are only gonna make dollars squared.

I'm leaving town because @boatpi said I couldn't visit his condo for the race!

All kidding aside I've had a ton of friends that backed out due to prices. It's pretty crazy that Vegas thought they could be more expensive than Monaco.

I'll be watching from Florida this year...

Can I stay at your house then? I don’t necessarily need to see them as long as I can possibly hear them. 😁

My house isn't that close, but if you need a spot to crash...just feed the dogs and Stepdaughter. Stepdaughter always orders the most expensive item on the menu, but she's a good DD though!

Nope. It’s already contracted through 2032.

It’s gonna be an amazing race to watch….

From my living room.
Oh I bet there are ways for yhr County or whomever to get out of it.

There MAY be a chance at a second year, but if it's as intrusive as it is this year, that's it.

Plus, who would really want to not be able to see the fountains with F1 cars in front of them?

That's good to see the prices going down...wish I could go. Was offered from a couple of vendors...but I don't do business with them and don't want that hanging over my head. That said I would never pay those initial inflated rates. Vegas is already expensive but the prices that were being thrown around was just robbery....obviously there was not the traction they hoped.

I’ve heard F1 is shining lights at hotels and windows plus tall barricades if the hotels do not pay licensing fees. Not sure how much of that is still accurate.
