I just wanted to mention that Lake Silverwood is at max. capacity as a result of the Lake Oroville flooding. There are nice beaches available around the lake and the facilities are in good condition. They also allow boats with o.t. headers with at least water running thru them as evidenced by the boat I saw running around yesterday. There will be a road closure (hwy138) coming up the end of the month for a couple weeks but other than that it is good to go. If you're not familiar with the lake it's a nice lake, decent size and typically has pretty good fishing too. The water condition has returned to safe normal condition per their statements. If your looking for a local day trip this one is definately worth the trip.
