That shot of Lone Rock almost brought a tear. I have a photo form the mid-70s of my Dad out there on the maiden voyage of his '72 DiMarco flatty with Lone rock in the background. Water level was almost exactly at the light/dark line.

We were in powell first week of august i jumped on my daughters 550 jet ski took a lap around lone rock lot of small floating debris and sucked up some in the pump knew it was gonna be shallow stepped of the ski it was about 2.5-3ft deep on the back side of lone rock.Been going since 86 so i have seen it to the top with lots of water.

I probably have a couple of old cheap watches on that bottom from the late 80s.

Wow those pictures put it all in perspective.
I grew up on the Missouri River, in South Dakota & Nebraska. I do not care what the Experts say. That Water Level is Never coming back. Snow Pack is what feeds these Rivers and we are taking out way more than is coming in.

I guess they can mess with the Dams and fluctuate levels but IMO robbing Peter to pay Paul.

Those pictures and when I went across "The Dam" last Month are breathtakingly Sad.:(

I'm gonna put together a post of our trip two weeks ago when I have time to download all the pics but water level was really low. Rainbow bridge was a 2 mile hike from the dock. It was a 2 mile hike up the barely flowing escalate in the riverbed to get to the three roof ruins and the water level was so low we couldn't get up the cliff to get to them. We put rock markers down next to the houseboat and we were loosing 3 inches a day. Still one of the best trips of my life
