Lake mead advice

The wife and are looking to get away for a couple days.we have never boated on lake mead.we were looking at temple bar.we are not familiar with the amenities on the lake.we will want a motel or cabin and a boat slip.any recommendations?

We have always stayed at Lake Las Vegas at the Westin and boated at Lake Mead. Great views at the hotel and nice to alternate between lake and resort.

probably better for a newbie to stay in boulder city. much more amenities then out at Temple bar. get a slip at hmeingway.

Temple bar is great but very old school river.
Not much there and very laid back quiet.
The motel is decent but again not much there.
They have a FB page if you are on that.

Fishing is great out by Temple Bar
Not sure how the ramp is these days, I know they’ve had problems in the past.

Not alot of services at TB, and from what I have seen they sustained some damage from a storm recently. I would second getting a slip at Hemingway and staying in Boulder City which is just up the hill, plenty of small hotels and the bar and restaurant scene is pretty fun. Foxes BBQ is a great little spot.

Our friends have a place at Lake Mead RV Park, and we have stayed there a few times.

The Hoover Dam Lodge and Casino is a decent hotel and isnt very far to launch your boat at the Marina.

Boulder City is a great little town to check out.
