I made this coffee table for my wife last week. I am going to cover it with glass. On the inset rails she can put printed canvas pictures. I was able to make it out of some odd pieces I had in my shop.

Allot of people in the county feel the confederate flag stands for some form a racism. Based on the fact that the confederates supported slavery. Also the fact that white supremacy groups use the flag as a symbol for there group.

I try real hard to not discuss politics among family, friends, on social media, or at work....nothing good can come of it and it's almost impossible to change people's minds, so I just leave it alone.

What I have found though...is that the libs who tend to be the most vocal about politics all the fucking time are, and have been, my least favorite acquaintances for plenty of other reasons too. Instead of arguing with them, I just make sure I limit my exposure to them. I find I'm happier that way.
