I just wanted to say thank you to everyone involved in helping us get Dons K out of the water safely with ZERO injuries. This could have been a very tragic situation with a methanol fire that can not be seen or put out very easily. A BIG Thank you to Garret and his jet boat for extinguishing the fire, by doing that the boat damage is minimal as compared to a total loss. Don already started tearing the boat down last night to access the overall damage and get back on the water sooner than later and Im sure it will be better than before.

THANK YOU for these great pics!!! It was a great day other than Dons K, but no one was hurt and that is what really matters. We will be back 2022 and as always thank you Wade for always being the best host and friend one could have.

I was really glad to see the fire get put out, but it hurt to see it as I walked out. That was such a beautiful boat.

I was the guy that asked you if that was Austin’s old boat. It has slipped my mind that his also had gold on it. I only got a glimpse of it as it was coming off of the trailer.

I don’t doubt he’ll restore it to its former greatness.

your boat looked really great as well! Loved getting to see you take some people out and enjoy it.

Taking people for rides is fun! I enjoy doing it. That kid is doing a drag boat video game, Said he'd put my boat in it (even though it's not a drag boat). So I of course said, I want awesome hair, huge boobs and a butt like those Japanese anime girls. lol He smiled and says no problem I can do it.

Here is the floor of the K, You can see on the left of the shaft log sanding down the first layer it was ok, the gunnels are shot but not too bad overall considering the fire Most of the parts are reusable with some polishing.

I just uploaded the event video onto youtube. I edited out just past the loud pop. If Don wants to see the footage someday tell him to call me. I won't be posting it.

Thank you that is much appreciated. The footage is not easy to watch, maybe after some time goes by, It will be easier to watch. I also have the gopro footage from the boat and it is not easy to watch.
