Might be old news for some of you but LEMX has fallen victim to a lawsuit and as a result is now closed. End of an era for sure.
I feel for the folks who lost their little girl, but closing the track isn't the answer and won't bring her back.
I don't know how many thousands of laps I've burned around that place over the years, I'm really sad to see it go.

There is another thread but sad deal. Elsinore Mx is a staple of that town.

Supposedly that’s not the full story, just an excuse. If Elsinore MX is really using the little girls death as an excuse to close the track, fuck them.

I read a press release from the mayor or whoever of Elsinore stating that there is no build plans etc for the Mx tracks property which can take years to even get permits or plans approved. So the landlord is gonna be out some money.

The way i read it, somone could step up to the plate and continue operations. City wants it to continue, landowner likely wants it to continue.

Gotcha. Hopefully someone with deep pockets can do it!

According to the LEMX Facebook page, the operators want to keep it open, the land owner is being drug into the lawsuit so he decided to shut it down.
Who knows what’s true, just really sad to see it go…

They would have to buy the property. Property profile shows exchange hands to some LP out of Missouri back in 2022. It looks like it’s a development company so they benefit from keeping it dormant. That way when the city finally gets tired of it doing nothing and bringing no revenue, they’ll approve his rezoning plan and let him build his building.

Many stories about this type of transaction.

When this story first broke I was seeing nothing but comments on Facebook dirt bike pages about how widespread the weed smoking is in the pits on practice days. Management didn't seem to police it at all. Then we find out the details of the accident. I'm not sure I'd want to ride there. But then again I live 15 minutes from Glen Helen.

Regarding the lawsuit - This lines up with the the mayor said, that there is no lawsuit currently on the books in that could be located.

So why blame a lawsuit for a track closing? Just say the funding and current economic conditions make it impossible for us to keep open and leave it at that. Why use the loss of an innocent little girl as an excuse when that isn’t the case. That’s bad juju if you ask me.

This is the true story. The land the track sold was to a holding company for Amazon. That company allowed the track to continue even though most of us thought it was going to be shut in 2022. There may or may not be a lawsuit, but no matter what I believe the holding company decided to cease the lease just because of that incident and potential future ramifications.

There have been a lot of incidents there and my son was a little gunshy of that place, but he would still ride it whenever they made major changes to check it out. There was another death back in 2021-2022 or so as well, but again a younger adult being where he shouldn't have been. Lots of ambulance rides, but that can be any track. One thing is for sure, when my buddy originally built that track, he put loads of mulch into the dirt to make it rutty. The maintenance needed for the dirt was not done after he lost his contract. When that track gets watered, it's an ice skating rink...lots of clay. It's a kitchen track and we hate to see it closed, but it was inevitable.

State Fair really bummed us out too when it closed. That was a fun track for parents and the kids.

Eventually, it will just be the Indians having these tracks in California. The insurance is brutal and the environmentalist and typical politics aren't excited about them. Lake Elsinore may help someone allow another track if someone can find a landowner open to it.

Hopefully, your buddy wasn't Randy. That guy burned a lot of people just like all the rest of the MX tracks. One thing for sure, never invest, rent equipment, or perform work at a track. It's a pipe dream investment with zero return. Bills get left unpaid, and people get burned. It's a sad day when a track closes but there is zero money in operating a track that has so much liability in today’s society. There is a reason why only Indian owned land tracts will survive.

Wade who is the former owner of Weekend Paradise in Elsinore (as well as many other holdings) had this to say when I asked him about this year's New Years Day boating event.

"Yes, I did sell WP to a great friend. I am building a motorsports park with Sand Drag racing, Motorcross, Kart racing, and a Sprint boat track. I will continue to hold my NYD at WP. We have many boats coming, so it should be a great turnout. Thanks so much for checking in. I look forward to seeing you soon."

The comment about future tracks will only be owned by Native Americans is interesting. And probably about true.

Elsinore in its heyday actually made a ton of money…,, they were the exception though.

Well, they sure as hell didn't pay the vendors. Everone knew that most of the proffits went up Randy's nose in the hay-day.

Insurance is the biggie in this, for the tracks to get insured, its a ridiculous amount they can't afford.

Holy shit PRORIDE! SLAPAHO! 🤣 I forgot about Lou. What’s your name on there?
Lol, I had forgotten about that place too. I think I had the same name, but I didn't participate very much.

I mostly just used it to keep track of how much people were complaining about the track prep that we were doing, and figure out what we could do to try and make people bitch slightly less.

Best thing on proride was the blue tarp guy.

Used to go on that site all the time when I was racing OTHG and Vet-X. Can’t ever get anyone to answer my email to get my password reset.
