What's going to prevent some perverted beaver shot huntin' male to pose as a female? How can it be controlled when a registered user changes(or registers a new screenname) "sex" in their profile? It's not like you can ask for ID like the stores do when using a CreditCard.
Aside from knowing the person and handing out passwords on a one to one basis what might be the security these ladies can expect?
I only ask because another place tried to keep a secure section that failed miserably.

I have a feeling female membership would grow suddenly.

To answer your question Ziggy.. Right now from the feedback we have it's 50/50 on whether the men should be allowed to post in it or not. For some reason I'm thinking with the pink backgrounds, and subject matter, I don't think guys will be beating down the door to post in the section even if it's open to everyone. Again (as mentioned earlier in the thread) when the section is ready I'll post one poll in it. "Guys or no guys" and let them decide. As far as security etc.. Not needed, but if it is.. My guy killed Patrick Swayzee shortly after roadhouse came out.

The fact is 20+% of the people online lurking are females at work. Most just read because they are "afraid" to post.. Others just don't know anything about boats, but like the river etc.. Nobody in the predominantly mail orientated boating message boards has tried to capture this market.

I know when i goto the river there's lots of chicks out there? I don't see many if any posting online? So why not give them their own spot, and see how it works out? This is just RDP as a whole expanding into new markets. Nothing to do with "The Box" or security measures etc..
