$18.00 to park $20.00 to get in x 2 =$58.00 . Save your money and time it was super dead and I was in and out in a hour. Never again and it took us a hour and 20 minutes to drive there from riverside

I have some people to mess around with tomorrow, so I gotta go. Come back tomorrow and I will put you on my list.

I went yesterday, I thought it was unimpressive.

Worst take: very similar to last years show. Best take: That 35 ft Eliminator Speedster is a beast.

Food wise, I saw a Hot Dog on a Stick booth and a Pink’s Hot Dogs stand inside, along with an ice cream shop.

So it's safe to say you were hardly satisfied? :D
Kind of a bummer...same at the Fred Hall Long Beach show. Used to be great and an all-day adventure. I was in and out in an hour or so and that was making a couple laps to get my money out of it. I really used to enjoy shows like this and just bumming around but I fear that they are long gone now with regards to what they once were? Guess it is just the way of the world now? I want to continue to support them but it's boring and not enough to justify it?

X2. Just got home and have the same sentiment as you. Although I did make an impulse buy of the Livorsi quick pin system.

Ran into a NJBA guy at the coffee shop this morning. He was telling me they brought out a bunch of drag boats out there!

Someone snap some pics! I don’t think I’m gonna make it after all :(

Just got back. Had a good time, met Dave so that’s always good 👍 Similar to last year, some nice rides but no DCB unfortunately. Picked up an inflatable mat for the summer and saved a bit.

It’s a boat show, there are boats. Plenty of them. Not sure what else some were expecting. These shows are designed to appeal primarily to those in the market for a boat, there are sometimes major discounts for those who are looking, and a great way to check them out in person.

Yup, running into Dave was the highlight of the show. He thought Nordic should be there but I told him it didn’t make a lot of sense when the Havasu show is in their backyard and that’s where the boating happens.

Saw what everyone else is reporting, figured others would take pictures.

My dad talked to Fear who was hanging out in Barron’s area about the Rayson Craft he is working on for us.

One thing to note was Barron had a nice little 19’ or 20’ v bottom down there.

Also it was nice to see Shockeave is still building v bottoms too (thought they have a bunch of decks like everyone else).

Feels like the v bottom is a rare breed indead these days.

My dad and I also commented that Mercury must be selling 2-3 outboards for every inboard package. Those egg beaters are on everything! Pontoons, Chris-crafts, etc. so far the only holdouts on not using outboards are the wakeboard boats.

There were 5 boats at the NJBA/SCJB booth. Sorry the only pics I got were of one’s motor. 2 Holley Dominators split in half and a plywood spacer. Never seen carbs split like that before.

Shockwave, Barron, Eliminator, Howard, and Cobra were the performance manufacturers that showed up. I really liked the Shockwave, Eliminator and Cobra boats.

Yes, Barron’s red 19’ looked a little out of place, but stood out among all the big cats. I think it was a good move showing a smaller boat is still available. Too bad some of the smaller boats from the other manufacturers weren’t there.

Shockwave had a 29’ Magnitude and a 25’ Tremor plus 2 22’ decks and a couple 26’ cats. The 25’Tremor seemed to be drawing a lot of interest.

It would have really been cool to see Tahiti Offshore there with a couple of boats as well.

Saw the same. Had to put my glasses on to check it out. Badass rig.

Bummer that Nordic and DCB weren’t there. I’m sure it costs them a few bucks, time and energy. Seems like it would be worth it to support the industry, pull in more people and showing new hardware.

This Nautique was clean as hell. Nice looking float.

Took my shoes off to check out this Malibu 26’. The Kustom boat market could learn a lot crawling through these. 🤷‍♂️. It’ll be tough going away from a go fast boat. I’m torn between toon for comfort or roll bar for grandkids. This made is 51/49 water sports.

Quite a few E Foils. Pricey but could be fun when the $ comes down and run time gets longer.

Cobra had some nice hardware. New OB boat with 500’s and closed bow. Betting it moves out pretty good. The other boat is our new neighbors. Really clean float.
PS. Cool to see the new owners working the booth. Seem like nice people.

The 35’ from Eliminator is even nicer in person. Curious on the performance with the same power VS DCB.

This Howard is as good as it gets. Not sure I’d change a thing. Really like the interior. Keeping the pic for ideas when we redo our boat

The Avalon toons are always nice. Was going to wander up the stairs to check it out. The group in front of me cruised up with shoes on and drinks in hand. 😬. I kept going.

This reminded me a little of Luxe. Toon with a little style. Speaking of.. Wonder where Luxe was.

The running surface/length is very different between.
Huge bustle on the 35x compared to the DCB 35
I couldn’t find much on the difference between running surface on M35 VS the 35X. Eyeballing it, guessing the bustle on the 35x is 2-3’ longer?
I believe the M31/M35 put up similar numbers with the same power.

The 35x is a widened and modified 30’ Daytona hull, it would best compared to the M31.

I talked to the owner of a M31 at the Islander that had stage 3 700s and his best MPH was 138. Not sure what a 33/35x runs with stage 3 700s

Anybody get pictures of Barron's 19?

Jerry said he had a new one going but I never got to see it. I've seen the blue and orange one he did

It was red with some black graphics. It only had the fuel tank rigged in the floor, no motor, drive or interior.

And it was fully capped and had balsa inlaid floors as well. And no I didn’t get a picture.

I figured RD was going to do a photo shoot write up.

Been doing that in drag racing to the carbs for years , right over the intake runners.

The Howard build quality and attention to detail is worth the admission. The glass work and rigging is top notch, Barron is also building really nice boats.

2 weeks. 😁

I saw him taking pics and with the RDP video guy.

Or one day.. lol. Good lord boys let’s give it a minute! It’s a lot of work to write all this shit up on a cell phone. Plus doing 100 social media videos.. live videos. Interviews with manufacturers.. add in the unbridled drinking 😳. I actually went all the way to the spirit world Friday night. Not entirely sure a new medication and drinking should mix. 😳

Here’s your thread!
