2030 - You'll own nothing and be happy.

I was wondering how they were going to confiscate property. Here it is.

We need to take all the $ currently spent and instead use it to build large homeless hotel facilities similar to large detention facilities. Then make it illegal to live and sleep on the streets. If someone is found sleeping on the street they are picked up and taken to these hotel facilities where they get free shelter, free food, job training and assistance, medical and substance abuse treatment, etc. They can stay as long as they want but they are free to leave at any time. If they are found living on the street again, they are picked up and brought back. It sucks that our hard earned money is taxed and used for this but if we are going to fund and allow homelessness, we might as well do it this way so the homeless are not out in public and impacting the regular citizens.
I like this, with a few clarifications; if they commit criminal acts beyond simple drug possession and use, they go to prison, not a hotel, and if they are psychotic they go to a mental hospital. If they use drugs while in the “hotel”, they’re kicked out. And, it is NOT open-ended, as that’s just lazy.

I’m tired of the increasing crime. Intruders are so frequent in our area that I’ve considered taking a gun with me when I sit in my hot tub at night. We even started a neighborhood text string so we could be alerted if there was an intruder in the area. It has to end, or I won’t stay here. My next door neighbor has just told me that he’s moving to Texas to get out of this liberal mess.

I think most of these people are into drugs.
100% HEROIN Addicts!

When they cleared them out from by Angel stadium. A group moved into the alley behind a property I was working on that my Realtor owns. Every morning I would have to wake them up and get them to move to get into the garage. They would all start the day with a needle in there arm provided by the state. The state workers would show up each day and drop them food and needles. But only clean up the used needles. Not the un eaten food or food wrappers and cans. They certainly wouldn't clean up there feces that was 18" from there sleeping mats. I asked several times why just the needles? It was a health issue for others. So is Shit but they wouldn't clean it.

My bet is we're going to see a lot of properties in the 5-8 range listed at 4,999,999 with an after sale credit to the seller of $X in an escrow account from the buyer for "furnishings" or "payment for seller re-location fees" or payment for ? ? Something creative but I don't know the rules

you can never tax your way out of a spending problem.........ask the romans
Yep. We are right in the middle of Roman 2.0.

Have sex with anything as its all legal, steal anything with no punishment, heavily tax everything until there is no worth while survival, then turn on each other.

The fall of the Roman Empire....This is what happens when lessons are not learned. You get to rinse and repeat forever. CA is in the repeat phase.

So…a state funded retirement home.
3 squares, a bed, medical, stay as long as I like… hell I might move there myself.

Last time they bought hotels for the junkies they found bodies and meth labs after the buildings were basically destroyed by the junkies.

Yes except the difference is internment camps took hard working Japanese Americans and placed them in these camps while the government stole their homes, businesses and farms in the name of national defense and protection of the country from it citizens.
I think you are actually advocating more of Hitlers model of concentration camps where you can pick and choose who you believe to be of value to a society and eliminate those who are not.
personally I feel both are wrong at all levels but to each their own🤦‍♂️
I haven't a clue what you mean by " Difference", I wasn't trying to draw any comparatives. But for some reason you did.

Difference in what ? The use of the term Internment instead of Camp or Facility ?
I suppose I could have used the term "Rehabilitation Camp, or Camp Second Chance or You Got Your Ass in This Facility, now work your way out or die where you sit "

Just my opinion of course, but I think it's rather derogatory towards both the hard working Japanese and the productive European Jewish community to compare either to the Homeless.
I see no comparative between those peoples or their situations during WWII and today's Homeless Crisis that's destroying our communities with public urination, defecation, theft and the desecration of the quality of life for those in our communities who are working hard.

I do agree however, a "Hitler" persona, would certainly be extremely effective for a rapid, yet perhaps rather brutal solution to the Homeless Crisis.
What's your plan ?
I wonder, WWTDD ---- What Would the Donald Do ?? Walls, I like that idea !!!!!!!!

Perfect solution is accidently drop several bundles of bad dope on the ground around these encampments. Dope addicts will do any free drugs. It would be like Christmas to them until there dead. Just an idea of coarse nobody forced you to put it in your body!!!!

Nice try pretzel maker. You made the statement that WW2 internment camps were some how “effective” and a tested solution. You made the statement it would be an effective solution not me.
In addition I do not know who you are agreeing with about a “hitler” persona being a solution except maybe the voices in your head. As for your question about what The Donald would do, you need to move past that obsession he is not your President anymore.
As for what would I do 🤷🏼‍♂️ maybe work on the problems that make them homeless and then enforce the laws when broken.

I’m sure THIS is what’s gonna fix the homeless situation. 😉. Talk about opening a can of worms. Holy shit.

The homeless won't stay in the bridge (transition) homes they have for them now. To many rules and regulations. The majority LA's homeless are not from LA in the first place.

Don't forget the Tweakers. Tons of them. Don't see Crack anymore. I miss Crackheads. They would wash my windows at the gas station. Lol. These Tweaks steal the windshield wipers.

Problem is they all carry Narcan. They OD on the regular and save each other. One of the guys that used to work for me. Told me in 1 year he used it 17 times. Some several times. He was living in one of the buildings heroin addict inherited recently. They had made a studio there for punk rock. Weekly occurrence for someone to OD as the heroin cut with to much fentanyl. One guy died twice in a week and he revived him. From same bad batch. Got released from the hospital and did it again on the same batch. Charlie has some crazy stories. Have not seen or heard from him in a while. 9 days ago the shop burned down. Guy who inherited Dad must be turning in his grave. He built magnum electric and had a collection of bad ass hot rods. Kid kept selling them off each time he needed money. I wish I could of bought the building before it burned down. @weasle might of been familiar with the fire and issues there.

Naming calling is always an effective way of displaying your intelligence. Best get to work on that solution, the shit's getting deeper out there. 👍

Let's see if this helps you understand that I was not making a comparison of those whom were interned, but the concept of a semi-or fully self sustaining camp environment, that would provide an environment where your own choices and willingness to participate, determined your life conditions.

A quote from an article on this subject, authored by an Idaho State College Grad Student.

" There were limited rations given at the internment camp, and residents had to make their own food. They became completely self-sustainable and had crops, and hog and poultry farms."

This is what I was referring to as being tested.

The demand for mega mansions goes down a bit….. some mega mansion owners don’t make as much money as they should… oh well

probably Hollywood elite types anyway who probably support this nonsense anyway…

Who cares

True, the homeless are here because that's what funding these programs. Then greedy hands dip into the cookie jar.
More will flock to the area from all over the country..

Oh yeah! I had a front row view of that shit until I retired in June. These profitable, non-profit homeless advocacy groups spread so much BS that the regular Joe thinks these zombies are a result of high rent, the economy and Covid. They're making millions!!!

Not only is this not right, as property taxes on these amounts when purchased cannot be completely written off (SALT limit of 10K). I sold my vacation home, 125K, had to pay the 3.5% on the gross sale price. Basically, CA is currently getting 3.5 of all real estate "gross" sales. Now that is not enough, so CA is escalating percentage take by price scale. Pretty much when you open the door on a new tax, expect the government to increase it. Just like the CA car registration that never returned to normal fees.

Yep, brutal slippery slope. It’s gonna get interesting if they get away with it.
