How is the ice maker working on that Samsung fridge?

We've had our french door Samsung fridge with dual ice makers for 11 years and it's worked perfectly. Although I must confess one minor little detail. Our usage habits did not require the upper (in door) ice maker, because we simply don't require much ice, so we shut it off shortly after purchase and have only used the lower freezer level ice maker and it's worked perfectly.
Given everything I've read about the Samsung ice maker problems, probably saved us some service headaches. Also, it's fed by RO water.
Honestly, besides the 13 year old LG washer and dryer that have been flawless, the Samsung shares the podium with zero complaints.

We have had plenty of experience with appliance service companies thanks to the very shitty Bosch electric cooking appliances however.
I would rate every service experience as a 1 on a scale of 1 to anything.
Complete and utter morons and the scary part is, regardless of which appliances you purchase, you still get the same complete and utter morons ringing your door bell and later shrugging their shoulders as they leave.

I got to know the an owner of one appliance repair company. He was telling me that in So Cal, the Russians were taking over the repair sector and undercutting everybody's prices to the various manufacturers and warranty companies making it hard for him to stay in business.
I refrained from telling him I had no suggestions on how he might cut his labor costs further, since the very nice kid he sent to my house didn't know which end of a screwdriver to hold as it was.
But I did spent 2 hours teaching him how to replace my Bosch oven's mother board he swore wouldn't fit.

Not by experience, but from what I've read ( If that can be believed) it seems there's some love for Whirlpool.
