I 2nd that, what's in the bucket underneath the cooler and how does it work? :D

RD

It's simple Home Depot my boys....the whole thing is powered by a 1 Horse Power Garbage Disposal, (with stainless blades) The discharge of the disposal runs out of the side of the bucket and is routed either through the ball valve into your cup or when the valve is closed, up into the cooler to recycle the mixture. Throw a waterproof switch on the side with a short length of Cord and a Plug and there you have it!!! I also installed a plug set so that the disposal could be removed if needed. See attached pics....Sorry about the size

Whips it up pretty quick, I usually start with about 7 bottles of the Jose Cuervo pre-mixed margarita from Costco...then start adding bags of ice, turn the disposal on and watch it re-circulate. Be careful that it doesn't get too icy or else it doesn't flow right...it's a margarita not a friggen snow cone:D In about 3 or 4 minutes you have a nice 10 gallon batch, the igloo cooler keeps it frozen all day in the Phoenix heat, just bump the motor on for a minute to stir up the mix then shut it off and dispense.

DO NOT DISPENSE INTO A CUP WITH THE MOTOR ON!!!! You will make a mess :D

Thats freaking genius!!!

Keep the pictures up because it's a guarantee that I am making one:D:D:skull

How much pressure does the garbage disposal create when pushing back up the pipe into the cooler?

That Margarita machine definately belongs in the "Other customs" section.. along with a "how too" :D

I'm so inspired by this thing, I was considering creating another section of the board called "Redneck Genius" - Show me what you built.. LOL

My mind has been racing ever since I saw that.

What about a stainless cooler mounted on a custom painted rolling cart of sorts. Panel in the sides of the cart and have the disposal and valve coming out below the cooler.

shoot you could cue polished stainless tubing instead of pvc:skull

Lets get the ball rolling on this!!!:D;)

Thanks RD...and Cole, if you Bling one of these out, I gotta see the pics!!! I originally got the idea off of the internet, seen it with a 5 gallon cooler and also one of those little 2 gallon personal jobs...I stepped it up to 10 gallons, did a little "Tim the Tool Man Taylor" with the 1 horse power disposal...made sure to get the stainless blade version (rusty margaritas suck). It's big and bulky but 10 gallons of "Panty Loosener" is always a hit at the lake on weekends:beer The other major change I made to the original design was running the recycle pipe inside of the jug, the way I saw it was external and you cut a hole in the lid...my way keeps more of the margarita inside of the cooler to keep it frozen for longer periods of time. The external one would be cool if you ran clear PVC that way you could monitor the amount of margarita inside the jug...

As far as the discharge pressure, I would say it's a lot more than you would expect, probably 5 psi at least...it really pumps the stuff, that is why I stated "DO NOT RUN DISPOSAL WHILE DISCHARGING INTO CUP!!!" It will blow the chit everywhere!

Good luck on your builds and let's see them pics!!!

That Marg Mixer is definately cool, but I wondering how does the concoction hold up after a day on the water.

I have a five gallon jug that I mix Jungle Juice in, but I was taught never to put ice in it, because it waters the drink down and taste like shit. I keep a seperate cooler just for ice and one for water and beer.

Just curious.

Ice lasts all day at Lake Pleasant here in Phoenix, get a good cooler, another trick I do is put the bottles of pre mixed margarita in the freezer for an hour or so before I mix it, (doesn't melt as much ice right away) The machine doesn't run all day, once the ice is ground up, it just sits until people are ready for a drink...then just bump it for a minute turn off and serve!!!

Strip Stripper :D

How much did they weigh and what was the bait used? My neighbors fish on a regular basis and I have not seen any pictures of their fish that compare.

Here is a pic of one neighbors fish, he is still proud of his catch.

I've been throwing a line off these two docks for 25 years and can catch large and small mouth bass all day with an occasional small stripper in there, but never anything like these 3. These are the size you get up on Hav so these guys slipped through the dam and I got them before they got too far (I actually thru them back)

It's kind of a funny story :D I was sitting in the dock early morning drinking my joe and enjoying the sunrise and one of the kids little Huck Finn fishing poles was sitting there so I tossed it in with a jerk jig and WHAM! I thought I hooked a big carp :D and it literally took al the line all out  and was bending that pole almost in half. After I got the first one in (big one) I yelled up to the house for my pole, the camere and a tape measure.

how do you know those were from march?:D

Well wiseass, a couple of reasons, 1) the date stamp on my camera is correct, not like others that don't know how to set theirs. 2) I took them and I was out there in March. Any other questions you want to ask funnyboy... :D :D

There is plenty of camping, most of it dry but there are some full hook-up sites as well. I go out mid March to service my boat, If PTB is going to play hostess as well we will probably have to wait until mid April for the get together, her hubby is a CPA and is extremly busy during Tax Season. :)
