Yep... my first car was a 87 toyota pickup, paid 4K for it, put 150K issue free miles on it over 3-4 years and sold it for 4K. Should have kept it, probably worth more then I sold it for now! Hoping to do the same thing for my son but looks like that 4K is more like 25K these days!
I bought this '05 Jimmy a few years ago from the original owner. I did tires, shocks, brakes, speakers, sent the instrument cluster out to be rebuilt as a few of the gauges were on the blink and did some other minor things. Bought it for the rear seat because we needed the room for 3 car seats for the grand kids. Wife got a new car that'll fit the seats so I want to sell the truck. Runs great with no leaks, AC blows cold, everything works. No rips or cracks in the interior. Paint is peeling on top 1 maybe 2 doors and when I pulled the door trim off the paint came with it on one of the strips. I was going to get new trim to replace what I removed, just haven't got around to it. Pretty low miles for an '05, just under 117K. Carpet kit in the bed.
