Dont have to, because there is no key. The control switches are all unmarked and the wires are all one color. It is like a Rubix Cube puzzle to start and operate my boats.

I don't have any keys, I will shut off my perko switch when I'm docked at a restaurant.

...Never... ...I would lose them,...although when in the water and docked,...I put the key under a towel or shirt while at a resturant or not near the boat...

Only when we are eating at the Pirate, Turtle or the Springs do I remove the keys.

Only if docked at a restaurant or where I can't see it. If someone really wanted it, they probably know how to hot wire it and taking the keys only delayed them by 20 seconds.

Yes every time I shut it off, if it needs to be running I will dictate that decision. I've seen to many stupid people do dumb shit over the years to give them the opportunity.

I'm pretty fond of hidden toggles, makes sure that even a good thief could not take it without serious effort :p

I put them in all my vehicles that I keep.

Same here. Leave the keys in always at home in the garage.

I have a habit of dropping the keys on the floor any time we are stopped, whether it be floating or beached or at the dock. If you want to steal my boat all you got to do is pick them up off the floor and put em in and turn, it's insured.

I just don't like the idea of one of the kids or drunks turning the key in the ignition while I jump in to take a piss.

no keys, no problems. I do have a backwards switch so it might slow someone down a little

Yup "most" boats are extremely easy to hot wire, 2 wires with alligator clips and you're off. Purple to hot and hot to.....well you know :skull
