@2FORCEFULL I'm really looking into this coach as I feel it's the perfect set up for us.

What things should I look for? What would be the red flags?

Oh and welcome back bud [emoji106][emoji106]

I'm not Steve or have as much experience as with rvs. But I'd stay away from Thor. And that is a big coach for that engine.

I'd search for a lightly used coach on a peak, Spartan, or powerglide chassis with a larger engine such as the cummins 8.9 and Allison 3000 trans. The ride, power, handling, and quality will be much higher than a freightliner chassis.

We recently upgraded from a 35' DP coach on a freightliner chassis to 36' tiffin allegro bus on a powerglide chassis and the 8.9 cummins. The difference is HUGE. And the price we paid was so much less than a new coach

That’s the info I’m looking for. We are looking at buying our forever coach so want to make sure we get the right one.

the big problem here is the chassis, the tires, the shocks. and the power...they'll do alright...but you have to work them a lot....find a good bumpy road to test on...I've owned a bunch of those freight shakers....didn't think any of them rode good...

thor really stepped up there game as they were really turning out a lot of bad units... they are way better than the eairly ones, hope all is well at your camp, and hope to see you on the water this year

What age range are you looking for? When I was looking, my search was narrowed down to tiffin allegro bus, alpine, and country coach. All three have quality chassis, suspensions, larger engines, etc. Love our tiffin bus (powerglide chassis designed by the former suspension guru behind country coach/alpine, disc brakes, 150 gallon fuel capacity, side rear radiator, full hardwood interior cabinets, etc)

No specific age range but we do want a 1.5 bath and at least 3 beds.
