LED Christmas lights are the shizz-nizzy!

In previous years with the incandescent lights, the power bill was over $100 higher for Dec.
This year it was less than $10 more than the November bill.
Plus, when I used the incandescent lights I had them on a timer (on at 5:00pm off at 1:00am)
This year I ran the LEDs from dusk til dawn.

We're going LED this year.

Disneyworld switched over to LED and they look excellent in addition to the power savings.

Our power bill for Dec was 510.00. Had the jacuzzi on full steam, got the bill, then sold the jacuzzi Friday.

My gas and power, together, peak at about $175/month in the coldest winter months. In summer, they are just over $100 combined. My highest power bill to date is about 90 bucks.

Those Canadian Hydro Elect and Nuke investments really pay off.

True, however....I didn't have to climb a ladder to replace any burned out bulbs all season :)

Another plus..... I didn't melt any power strips or timers this year :p

I feel your pain, we do the level pay thing and it's still $525.00 a month.

sucks for a few months out of the year but comes in handy during the summer with not getting hit with a $900 -$1000 electric bill

Love Cali ya right.

Consider solar panels on the roof and eventually electric heat.

The panels spin the meter backwards so most your power is free.
You can run your A/C any temp ya want and as much as ya want.

If our bill was over $300 a mo I would definately go solar elect.

My electric bill runs in the neighborhood of $50/month. The month of December came out to $90 because of the lights. I'm sure we could get that $50 bill down though if i turned off the outdoor lighting but I like the way they look so they're staying. :D
