We knew there was a big storm blowing through the High Desert but didn't expect to see this. It was such a beautiful Modesto Ash Tree. Luckily no other real damage, just got to finish the job.

Yes, it was done by the previous owner, we have only owned this house a couple years. The backyard normally looks like this.

What a bummer! If you have a means to rig that tree back to itself get a bumch of ratchet straps it might make it.

My father in law had a weeping willow split down the middle like a block of wood.

We muscled it back together and that thing is thriving now.

Gorilla glue it and then strap it together and see if it holds.

I feel for you. Not only in beauty and shade but also in actual property value too. I spend thousands a year on trimming, replacing, and adding trees to our property. I love and hate trees.

It looks like it needed trimming back badly. Everyone hates to pay for trimming their trees but they just can’t take the weight. Such a beautiful tree, so sorry you lost it.

It was scheduled for next week.. we have two of these trees, the one in the front yard did fine but will still get trimmed.

Blew like hell up here. I lost a short Joshua tree. I didn't think they absorbed enough wind to go down.

I’d start with removing all that grass, and install desert landscaping.

Turn the concrete into a fire pit. Seems only fitting now that you have fire wood.
