Coeur d'Alene Idaho. Before you say it - water is perfect temp in the Summer. I will say it - for those peeps who never get out of Havasu and stand in the Channel all day long drinking and pissing - there is hope. :)

Just got back from renting a waterfront place on Pend Oreille (45 minutes North of CDA). Less known, big water and miles and miles of waterfront homes on lake and river. LOL and the locals say less Californians :)

Heading there over labor day weekend my buddies house is within walking distance to the lake! He thinks the water temp will be around 75 can't wait to breath some fresh mountain air!

I've heard conflciting stories...whats the speed limit? is it state regulated on all lakes? My BIL has a house on Hayden and Avondale but he only has a toon that goes 40 so he doesn't care lol

I’ve heard that lake is beautiful, but 70* water temp is a little too cold for me lol. It’ll shrivel up your balls a bit when you first get in.

I have lived in quite a few places including Lake Havasu and Santa Barbara. Coeur D Alene is by far my favorite place I have lived.
Yeah it gets cold and snows but it keeps the riff raff away and the homeless also. Its clean and family friendly.
I am a Realtor up here so if anyone is interested in seeing how much a house costs, I have your low end around $240,000 to high end waterfront over a Million give me a call 208-651-5134 or e mail me [email protected]

So people leave their boats in the lake when it freezes?

Yes some do leave them in water all year. The ones that do leave them in seem to do OK. I do not know what they do to prep it for winter though.
I am out doing something outdoors all year round. I love the 4 seasons.

I just drove from St.Anthony, ID to Courdelane two weeks ago, it’s about 8-9 hours in a motorhome. Easy and beautiful drive, straight up the 15 to the 90 and then west on the 90. Probably 400 miles or so.

Hell of a lot closer than So Cal! LoL

Those are without a doubt the most beautiful dunes ever.

5th gear pinned all day...

Yeah we hiked and mt biked with the spray last week. All depends if you can get it off in time. Especially Mt biking. LOL Mom moose are another story from what Ive heard. Just watched a deal on a MT attack where the guy sprayed the bear and it did t phase him. I prefer the 45. That thing looks like a flare gun.

YES, A SCARAB!

What's with the cover over the deck, keeping the sun off?

I cover it during the week or when I am not going to use it for a few days. Keeps the wipe down process easy. :) Lift off the cover and go... Now, that being said I get in the water about every two days and scrub the scum line off. Would love to have a boat lift some day.

Been through several times enroute to MT

Not a snow guy
Old age and snow don’t mix
Hence all the snowbirds in AZ

And home prices in That area are not cheap, steadily rising

Beauty has a price: snow and it sticks around too long lol

In the winter you’d be right. If it’s warm and has water during the summer though it’s my kind of place.

It really is no different (right out front of downtown CdA) then Thompson Bay on a busy day on Lake Havasu. And like Havasu ,the farther you go south the calmer the water.

I was told today there is a 55 mph speed limit on the water there. Any truth to that

Looks beautiful. Some friends of ours just sold everything in Laguna Hills and moved up too Boise. He's a former marine and a gun guy. Sounds like he's gonna love it up there.

I loaded my buddies.moving truck yesterday they are on their way today to meridian. Dont worry idaho folks he is wearing his trump hat and is bringing plenty of firearms and ammo.

To rent a moving truck in cali for out of state was 4k because they are running out of trucks. He flew to vegas and drove one back for 700 plus a75 dollar flight and half a tank of diesel. A 40 foot truck takes a while to load. We are gonna go visit in a couple of months for friendsgiving. I'm stoked to get on the water next summer and check out the lakes.

Buddy of mine was a guide in alaska. He got charged by a bear put 2 .50 cal shots off its skull before he took out the shoulders to slow it down. Bears are bad ass mofos.

Tons of friends and partners moving up there. I wish I was in a position to do so myself. Beautiful country for sure.

Great pic. It is my understanding that there is a 50mph speed limit on Idaho lakes (30 on rivers). If that’s true, do they actually enforce it?

You pick your spots. The lake is large. I just saw two Eliminators race down the lake doing at least 110+.
