… That certainly looks like the Maui Sugar Mill Inn in Tarzana… I used to go there a lot… some pretty big names have floated through there👍

Yes it is, Blues every Monday night.
… Haven’t been there in quite a while, but used to go with a little neighbor girl…little 24 year old Hispanic girl was quite popular there… she had never seen anything like the Blues… she finally brought her boyfriend… He got it. He had been there and done that….
… I don’t know who the other three players were… But thanks for posting that vid… All three of the other players were really good…
… Give me another 40 minutes of that… And I will be good for the rest of the day👍

Jimmy Vivino, don't know the bass palyers name.
If I had any skills I could post more vids from my phone. :D

The promoter. He got up and played a set with them. Joe handed him the Gibson and he said it made him forget how to play. :p

… The gray beard guy is Jimmy Vivino???…
… The promoter is actually a great guitarist… He is also pretty good at walking around with the tip jar… I’ve never had a problem, throwing a 10 or a 20 at him…

Yeah, the graybeard.
Zach is a damn good guitar player, I was pleasantly surprised.

… I was very surprised the first time I saw him play… he also took the tip jar walked out the front door.::, rattled it by the passenger window of my car and told the neighbor girl …get in here …she got out of the car and came in… she then became a believer in the blues…lol..,

I've seen him a couple of times at Red Rocks in Colorado and both were great shows. He's done some pretty hilarious short videos/interviews, a really humble guy!

I’ve seen him seven or eight times now. Blistering Blues is what I like & I don’t think there’s anyone better. Also got to meet him at the Arlington in SB . He’s cool as shit

I was at a small venue once in the Bahamas - sand floors and about 15 people in the room - it might of fit 30?

In walks Jimmy Buffet for a beer - 15 min later he has a guitar and is playing requests. About 30 min in a few sorority girls walk in and see him and FLIP OUT screaming and running up etc. POOF Jimmy went straight out the back door never to be seem again.

They ruined it for everybody there.

I saw James Brown with a 16 piece band and 4 back up singers @ the Coach House in San Juan - we came for the early show and only about 10 people were there. He played the whole show to us then invited us all to stay for the second sold out show. Great night!

Re: OG post, I love the blues and would love to see him sometime!

We saw Joe B. at the Fox in Riverside 6 months ago. Capacity is like 1600 I think. He was great but there was one guy sitting in the center of the floor who kept whooping like a redneck during Joe's slow, soft tasty, solos. You could see him get more and more bothered, until he almost left the stage.
Overly dramatic I thought. Guy on the floor was an asshat for sure, but I thought the band should have called him out.
We saw him at the Greek recently when he was the first concert after the scamdemic/pandemic restrictions were lifted in L.A. The lights go down, and Joe walks on stage like a Boss. The crowd's energy was palpable and you could feel it was going to be a special night. He steps to the mic and says "the Greek wanted the best for the first concert in a long time. So who else are they gonna call?" The crowd exploded. It was a perfect southern California night.

We were there at the Greek!😁
He killed it.

Walked into Cabo Wabo one night with Sammy and Slash tearing it up, looked at my wife and said I think that's John Entwhistle.
Then they broke into a Who song.😁

Saw him at the Hollywood Bowl recently no opening act played for about 3 hours . What a great display of six string domination .
