Anybody here a J Dub? My neighbors are and damn they are some unusual people. No offense of course.
Just tell them you know what they're trying to sell but you're a Worldly Person. Watch the expression on their face. Meaning you don't believe in what they believe in. Do not say that you believe in some but not all. Your gonna open up a can of worms!

My closest friends are JW. They have never once tried to convert my wife or I and they are one of three couples that I would ever trust with my kids. The are very family oriented and on a day to day basis very “normal”. I actually gave the wife away to her husband at their wedding over 20 years ago because she came from a very distinction family and didn’t want her drink POS dad to do it. They always show up to holiday gatherings and participate in prayer with us. I have approached the husband a few times with questions and he has always answered my questions about their religion truthfully. We agree to disagree on a few of their teachings/beliefs and that’s it.

Our house has always been the melting pot of religions for the last dozen years. I was raise Baptist, my wife is catholic, they are JW, my neighbor (for many years) was Jewish, my parents are Morman and we always got together for holidays, birthdays, anniversaries etc. it was always the topic of discussion during these events and we all just laughed. In my eyes this is where the world has fallen apart. Big brother wants us pitted against each other because we are “different”. That shit doesn’t fly in my house. 🇺🇸
That last part is the truth many fail to see. I can care less how much money you have, color of skin, who you sleep with (of legal age) or what prophet, God or tree you worship. Are you an asshole? Are you a decent person? Your actions define you, not a label. This "Inclusiveness" they preach is actually anything but. It forces beliefs on someone, or tells people they are special. No one is special to the world. Sure, we have special people in our lives, but humans are equals.

The more divided the masses are, the easier they are to control. They can be made to fight among themselves, so they don't even notice the other threats at hand.

I lived next to them for almost 4.5 years. We got along for the first 2 and the last 2.5 they turned into assholes, especially when Covid started. I hope to never see them again.

The number of people murdered "in the name of God" is massively misrepresented and pales in comparison to those murdered by the Godless. Especially war...
Yet every soldier that dies in the battles of war, wants a Religious symbol over their grave. Who am I to say. One thing I do know is everyone leaves this world on bended knee. Some know it and some find out later. I'm OK with both.

I was never a soldier, and have not known war. I've asked my friends who served in various engagements, what was the driving force, "freedom", "patriotism"? What did you fight for? All have answered near the same. They fought to protect those they fought aside. They fought to survive. They hoped that fight would end there, and never come home.

Fighting to protect your friends or family. Noble cause, though not religious I think. The ones that start the wars tend to do it by claims of religion, but it seems it's always money and power. The ones who die, are doing so for good reason, not for their commander's wishes.

No sane man sets out to take life, for God or for power. Maybe sanity is subjective though?

A lot to unpack there. Why we say we go to war and why we fight are two different things. Anytime you combine God and killing, you go into the weeds real fast.

I personally don’t have a problem with jehovas or their belief, especially since they come from the time of Christ. When they come to my door I politely say ”No thank you“ as they approach and they respectfully leave.

not trying to offend anyone but I’ll deal with them over Mormans any day of the week.

This I agree with. Belief in God isn't the problem in my eyes. Belief in the intentions of those organizing the religion seems to be the issue. In my eyes, religion is what is worshipped. Technology, science, money or fame...it depends on how you choose to follow it. I don't believe in the stories a bibles holds, but the lessons it was meant to teach, as determined by my thoughts. I wouldn't expect others to always see the same. Others preach what should be seen, in all forms of worship.

To each their own. If the world thought that way, there would be a lot less to argue about, and less loss of life and time.
