Anybody here a J Dub? My neighbors are and damn they are some unusual people. No offense of course.

A lady that worked for my grandfather and then father was. Interesting to say the least. They also roam our neighborhood but never stopped at our house. Did they know that there was no hope for me or something? 🤔

My SIL and BIL are “Witness’s”, My sister is 8 years older than me. She became a Witness in her early 20’s, which rocked my parents world. Because they could not celebrate BDays or Xmas’s with there grandkids…

But lets fast forward.
If you believe in the Constitution and interpreting the text as written. AND
If you truly read the text of the King James bible as written, there are many many things that they believe in that are fully backed up by that text.

So there are many things they believe in, that are 100% backed up by King James Bible. Please dont second guess my analysis, until you have truly studied both..

But there are things about Witness’s, that I will never understand.
Especially defending your country, and several other things…
But there are things that I will back them on.

They'd probably be OK with you moving.🤣
Funny thing is, they’ve known that we’re building a new house and moving shortly for over a year. We’ll be gone by end of March at the very latest if not February. They recently listed, sold and closed their house in just over two weeks all together. They’re still there but I have no idea for how long or where they’re going or why they’re leaving. They have 3 teenage kids who are home schooled and who don’t go outside of their property for any reason while not attended by their parents and they don’t talk to anybody who isn’t a J dub. The neighbors to my other side have lived in their house for 8 years and J Dubs two doors down have been in their house for 9 and they just met like a week ago.

I had a next door neighbor once, when I was mid 20's. He was normal. Coincidentally, I had known his younger brother since I was a little kid. Plus he married a J-Dudd, and was a convert.

They have stopped at my house multiple times.
When out front working on the boat they are intrigued, polite and engaging.
After getting the specs they ask to pray over me.
We do together..

I worked with some basic dedicated & devoted Christians. They were fantastic to work around.
We had one JW co-worker.
If the Christians ever said "You're blessed or that's a blessing" he'd get pretty worked up and upset.

His name was Thomas Crown and if anyone ever said "Oh the Thomas Crown Affair" referring to the Steve McQueen movie,, he'd take them aside for a frank conversation telling it was not appreciated and to never say that in reference to him again.

I learned at the time JW's were all in over their heads with unmanageable, off the charts debt. This because they believed the world was going to end on a certain date, so WTF spend & charge like crazy. 20 years ago pulling $160K and broke as hell.
He was always in some sort of drama with his neighbors or other co workers.

The JW was a diabetic and didn't watch his diet and of course refused insulin.
One leg Amputated, then another,, then,, at age 48,, he died.

A JW locomotive engineer at Disneyland abandon his train (pressure vessel) and ran through the park shouting the day the world is going to end had come. It came and went. He lost his job.

2 JW ladies always used to stop by my house when canvassing the neighborhood - usually about every other month. Always dropped off their magazine and they were nothing but nice.
I also went to grade and high school with a couple of JW guys that I haven't seen in forever - I'd still refer to them as buddies.

I have to agree with you frogman! When i was working on Granite Mountain IHC there was a fireman on the structure side who was J Dub and would fill in as captain from time to time. When he did fill in he would introduce himself as "Acting Captain blah blah" cracked me up so i would introduce myself as "Acting Crew Member Austin Mork" he never saw the humor and would just scowl at me.

Thats exactly what I needed! Out here working trouble calls.
You're keeping lights on for people...more importantly, keeping refrigerators going! I appreciate it!

As for JW's, the only issue I've ever had with them is not going to weddings or funerals presided over by non-JW's. My Mom worked with a lady for 30yrs, considered her a friend, didn't come to my Mom's services. To me, that doesn't seem to be very "Godly" or "accepting" of others.

Had some knock on my door here years ago. They had a member bed ridden down the road, saw new movement at our house which had been vacant. Scared the crap out of me! I had the wood stove blazing, working inside hanging sheet rock. Snow on the ground outside, invited them in for a chat. Not my cup of tea, but very polite.

This was before I had had put up the gates.

Had a friend that was the Grand Kleagle, Ayatolla, Tsar, ultra supreme expert on auto finishes and paint and equipment and applications.
He worked on the West Coast for a European paint mfg. This was when the industry was switching over to water based finishes and car builders to multi stage paint jobs. All very tricky to do it right at the time.

Rolled by the house one day and invited me to SEMA. He knew almost everyone at the show in the body and paint industry and it was amazing to walk about the show with him.
He brought along two of his talented sales guys that were JW's.

We boarded the plane in Burbank and the JWs dropped off by wives that were both Cindy Crawford looking, off the charts 10's. Both strict JWs. Earth stopping, turn your head beautiful.

On the plane my friend got the JWs to have a couple cocktails and that continued on at the hotel and casino. We taught them craps,, really led them astray.

Then my friend rented the last of the fire wood burning, brontosaurus Cadillac's and we headed out into the desert to the then, full nude titty bars.

"I've always wanted to do this" my friend said as we hit full throttle and did a 4 wheel drift into a titty bars dirt parking lot. Hubcaps bouncing off in the desert illuminated by the Caddys headlights.

One bar the girls were squirting milk from their boobs and the open-mouth JWs got in on the action. They couldn't get enough mouthfuls of that and covered all over their faces and shoulders.
Full nude lap dances,, Vegas was a different place back then.

On the flight home they both asked us "Not to mention any of it to their wives."

I had friend from work that was a JW and invited us over to his families house for big dinners. Very family oriented people. He then hit on my wife by trying to show her his Ding-Dong. I should have encouraged the wife to go take it, It would have saved me 6 figures on a divorce a few years later when she slept with her GYM trainer.

I worked with a few back in the 80's. They drank like fish and one got a divorce because he admitted to having a threesome with some co-workers.

What always got me was sitting down, having lunch and out of the blue the preaching would start. I always felt trapped.

Before that I had worked with a Scientologist, I learned that a fool and his money are easy to separate. They took all of his with "training".

Believe in what you want, some just need to follow something at any price.

I'm good, thanks for stopping by.

I tried to fuck the crazy out of a JW back in my late teens. She was trying to rebel against her parents, and I was happy to bang the shit out of her and her Roomate.

I dont want a mad monkey to come chasin me down!!

The only other thing is... I literally have warren jeffs mormons living in a house across from me! House is huge theyre over the top nice.

I dint know what it is but the fundamentalist Mormons like to peruse their property at night with flash lights and they leave all the main area lights on with the front door wide open. But yes they are still loyal to Warren.

They harassed our house I lived in with 3 buddies at SDSU. After 10+ visits one day my friend Kyle who is a big guy saw them coming and opened the door naked. They never came back when I lived there.
That’s funny. I got rid of them knocking every Saturday morning by answering the door in nothing but my boxers, beer gut and all my tattoos

Ask them if they salute the USA flag, when they say no, slam the door on them

Jehovah's Witnesses believe their allegiance belongs to God's Kingdom, which they view as an actual government. They refrain from saluting the flag of any country or singing nationalistic songs, which they believe are forms of worship, although they may stand out of respect.

Years ago we were having a family get together. My brother in-law let them in the door. They had a couple kids with them. The adults came in and sat down at the dinner table. My Father was a big guy. He came in and politely kicked them out. About 45 minutes later someone asked who the kids were playing with the grandkids in the basement. They left my parents house and forgot their kids. They showed back up and reclaimed their kids.

My uncle was a devout catholic. He wouldn't preach at you but just followed the beliefs. He would make a deal with the jw and the Mormons. He would listen to them for an hour, if they listened to him for an hour. When they left, that group never ever came back to their neighborhood.

I had a sales mgr. at Orkin a bazillion years ago that was a jw convert. He was a army veteran, nice guy and didn't push his jive on us, just let us know and tried to live by example.
My brother on the other hand is your basic christian but is fully emersed in the history, "hell-fire and brimstone" perspective and highly focused on the rapidly approaching rapture/end of days. Working on family estate matters is a significant challenge when he starts spouting off. It's the kinda joy that has one want to slit their wrists, gouge their eyes out and drive off a exceedingly tall cliff at a very hi rate of speed.................in a convertable. 😆😆

My closest friends are JW. They have never once tried to convert my wife or I and they are one of three couples that I would ever trust with my kids. The are very family oriented and on a day to day basis very “normal”. I actually gave the wife away to her husband at their wedding over 20 years ago because she came from a very distinction family and didn’t want her drink POS dad to do it. They always show up to holiday gatherings and participate in prayer with us. I have approached the husband a few times with questions and he has always answered my questions about their religion truthfully. We agree to disagree on a few of their teachings/beliefs and that’s it.

Our house has always been the melting pot of religions for the last dozen years. I was raise Baptist, my wife is catholic, they are JW, my neighbor (for many years) was Jewish, my parents are Morman and we always got together for holidays, birthdays, anniversaries etc. it was always the topic of discussion during these events and we all just laughed. In my eyes this is where the world has fallen apart. Big brother wants us pitted against each other because we are “different”. That shit doesn’t fly in my house. 🇺🇸

The only number that is bigger then the people who were murdered under the name of God, is the ones saved by his son. Some people get it wrong.
The number of people murdered "in the name of God" is massively misrepresented and pales in comparison to those murdered by the Godless. Especially war...

This post violates community standards and should be censored by an administrator.😂
nobody should be ok with accepting that people are different and have their own beliefs. Are you saying you can actually coexist in a positive productive community While allowing others their own beliefs? oh this is definitely a misinformation campaign 😂
If we believe in these ideas we would be happy and not self sabotaging our lives That seems like such a bad idea.
Cheers.

I work with people of all religious backgrounds and truly have no issues it may be because we are there to work and not worship so things move along well. We call it professionalism. I actually appreciate the fact the JW employees do not recognize holidays because they volunteer to work them for the most part. How can I resent a group who makes my life better🤷🏼.

My feeling is that in anything in life EXTREMISM is the only true enemy to all things. the Construct that one must be 100% one thing only is bullshit. Moderation is the bridge that keeps a community positive and productive.
