When I was a toddler my grandparents drove me to the river in Cadillacs and Chryslers. At 16-18 I was driving the family Olds station wagon or a Road Runner/Super Bee with a trailer hitch. Never an uncomfortable trip.
Then my buddy bought new in 1979 a GMC dually with all the bells n whistles.
That boys and girls, was a whole 'nother level of luxury. They really do make towing a boat across the desert a pleasure.
He still owns that truck and is currently building a 600+ci motor for it.

I remember my dad having an Olds. The one where the filler neck was in the rear tail light? Man that thing was a beast! Water cooler in the window and canvas water bags on the front bumper.

Always a freaking adventure! 😂

I got $6k off msrp on my fairly loaded Gladiator Rubicon. That was a corp deal from a high up in Stellantis and in the middle of covid car shortages.

I suspect during this the dealer wont budge on high margin stuff like over priced tint, door edge guards and clear coat protection etc. 🙄

Anyone tow with their Gladiator? Pondering a new mid size truck, Canyon, Colorado or Gladiator etc, to tow our Hallett 240 bc 1/2 ton truck prices are insane 🤪
No comment on the gladiator, but if you get a Colorado/canyon you should know you probably should re-gear it and if your boat is wider than the vehicle, tow mirrors are about 600 bucks piece. The one I have has 33 inch tires and it’s constantly downshifting to maintain speed. Even in stock form, these trucks were under powered and over geared. I’d see if you can borrow one to see how it’s gonna do first

I have a 2017 Wrangler 4 door with a basic lift and 35 tires on it. I may be lucky not sure but that is the best car I have ever owned. I have had Chevy duramax diesels, suburbans a dually and Ford trucks and a Bronco. All Have had serious issues . The Jeep has been amazing just went to the dealership two weeks ago for the first time since I drove it off the lot. Must have gotten one of the rare ones I will never get rid of it
