Even the Buick v6 which was sold to Jeep and bought back by Buick didn't have that problem. Valve train was pretty robust for the time

The rockers have gone thru 5 different redesigns for the JK version of the 3.6 motor alone - the latest version has a full-floating trunion and is a bit different than the first models. Based on how Chrysler part numbers work, they are probably on the 8th version of this rocker for the 3.6 engine as a whole , but only 5 versions since the engine was placed in the JK in 2012. The "AA" part number goes back to pre-2012 when the motor was first placed in minivans.

JK Current version (newest) - 5184296AH

Old versions (last letter indicates succession / superceeded part numbers - A, B, C, D....etc)

Seems like a common trend is the passenger rear-most cylinder rockers usually start ticking first. That tells me there's a lubrication problem that starves those rockers more than the others. Probably a slight difference that wears on them over time. Eventually they all die...
Awesome info

We had a motor shop put another used motor in and they offered a 6- year, 100K warranty. Rockers went out 3X after the install. 1st time at startup of the used motor (LOL LOL), then another 2 times. They fixed it the additional 2X without any hassle/pushback...but now they are out of biz.

TBulger - on our 14, the first rockers let loose at about 75K. I believe and the Jeep currently has less than 100K. The ABS dash warnings and brake pedal "bump", cause by leaking axle seals, just recently started. The issue shows as an ABS speed sensor code. But when I replaced the sensor, I noticed the rear brake area/hub was covered in dried oil/dirt, and the sensor itself was covered in grease. I still need to tear it down to see if the tone ring is also covered in grease. A shop in the valley sells axle kits that come with the axle/bearing/tone ring pre-assembled/pressed for $400+-
