Aww man the worst news. I’m so so so sorry for your loss. I was hoping for a new Jason story and I got one but not the one I ever wanted to read. He was the coolest cat I’ve ever heard about. Thank you for taking care of him and sharing his stories throughout the years. I’ve enjoyed them very much. He came home so you wouldn’t worry about him…😿

Jason hasn’t been doing very well the last few weeks. Some days okay and other days terrible. It’s old age, not a sickness so I chose nature to work it out.

This morning Jason was at my back door and had passed away sometime in the night.

RIP you crazy lion. You were a once in a lifetime feline, for me and my family anyways 😢

Sorry to hear. Thanks for sharing Jason with us. He was a rare type of cat as he was outgoing and had a special relationship with each person in his life. I bet you and your family feel honored to of had Jason choose you has his humans and spend his life with you guys. Every time I read the line about you hearing the dog door making noise but both dogs are already in the house and this cat, Jason, shows up and acts as if the place is his makes me laugh every time.

Haha Ya he was crazy. Would come thru the doggy door like “who the fuck up in my house MF’ers!” 🤣

I texted the neighbors as they knew him well. He’d hunt the gophers in their yards and was crazy good at flicking them out of their hole with his middle finger claw the minute they popped their head up. He was so fast it was like trying to see a bullet leave it’s barrel. Then he’d eat like a fat kid at an all-you-can eat buffet.

They were super bummed. Here is one of the replies. He really was a crazy cat...

I remember when you originally posted this. Can’t believe it was 8 years ago.
Nice that you were able to get resolution.

:(.

He came home to pass on

RIP

We had an outside orange cat for a few years. This was just a few months ago. Always in the back yard. He started showing his age.
One day I’m washing dishes and I see him climb the fence, look toward the house and we never saw him again.
Guess he wanted to die alone. Kind of sad. 🥲
