Jack Reacher

Saw it last night.

We give it two snaps up in a circle.

It has all the important guy movie elements: Car chases, hot chick with big boobs, gun fights, muscle cars, cops, snipers, russian bad guys, Robert Duvall, and lots of street justice.

I've read almost all the novels and loved them, just can't figure out how a 6'4" character in the book translates to a 5 something Tom Cruise.:rolleyes

The wife has read everyone of the books and says the same thing plus a few other choice words about them using Cruise

Agree with the above peeps, I have read them all, and Cruise was the wrong choice. I will see it and I am sure it is a good action flick, but the premise of the character revolved around Reacher being a giant. BTW, I think it is cool that the author, Lee Child, has a cameo as the cop who returns the toothbrush to Reacher after he is released from jail.

I'm Thinking They Would Have Been Hard Pressed Not to Use Cruise - When Some of the First Credits You See on the Screen is "Tom Cruise Productions" I Think That Production Company May have Had Some Pull Towards Cruise As Lead Actor???

Like others, haven't seen the movie but reading the books doesn't bring Cruise to mind in the least.....Stone Cold Steve Austin or the Rock is who Jack Reacher would choose dammit.:skull

Ha. I was thinking ol Dwayne Johnson would've been a good choice too. From what understand the director said they could've gotten the right actor to meet the physic with only 70% of the acting chops or cruise who doesn't meet the physics but gives 100% acting.

Cruise is a fucking nut job and should be black listed from hollywood. I won't be going to watch any of his movies. I'll wait for it on HBO And watch it on the 70".

update... Pretty decent movie, maybe a tad bit better than the new 007 movie. Not a must see by any stretch, but not many movies are these days.
