How Democrats Can Kneecap the Supreme Court's Next Attack on Democracy

Republicans are already gearing up to contest and sow distrust in the upcoming midterms. Democrats cannot afford to cross their fingers, hoping that the right-wing supermajority on the Supreme Court will make the right decision and uphold democracy.

Amid the Supreme Court's recent onslaught of controversial decisions, one alarming order went relatively unnoticed. The justices announced that they will hear Moore v. Harper in their next term, potentially triggering a series of events that could very well upend the cornerstone of democracy: free and fair elections.

On its face, Moore v. Harper, concerned with a redistricting dispute in North Carolina, seems relatively innocuous, but its potential consequences are chilling. At the core of this case is a right-wing, fringe legal theory that could empower Trump-aligned state lawmakers to overrule the will of voters in the 2024 presidential election and send hand-picked electors to the Electoral College.

Considering that no fewer than four Supreme Court justices—Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, Clarence Thomas—expressed support for the dangerous theory at the heart of this case as recently as March 2022, the threat is real. When the Supreme Court validates this theory—and they will—Republican state lawmakers will essentially have a roadmap to steal the election.

If I "misgender" someone, it's possibly because they aren't completely playing their roll. I will say ma'am or sir based on what I see.
On the other hand, yesterday in Newport, I saw an individual with shorter hair, a nicely trimmed beard, and wearing a lovely dress. I politely held the door open for them...and really had no way to process the event 😂

It ain’t my job to read their twisted fucking mind and it ain’t my job to decipher the cross wire mentality that is their existence.
I could give 2 whole fucks what they want to be called because I won’t be addressing them and will not allow their will to be imposed upon me and I will not participate in their delusions.

According to the constitution I too have rights, and I simply will not allow their imaginary self importance to dictate my language or my own behavior.

Feelings. It used to be funny, mistakenly saying the incorrect "one, or the other." Then, the 2 "people," would share a giggle, laugh, or grin, and say "excuse me," like normal people, as the situation would dictate, then go on about their day. Now, if I'm a Dick for it, my pronouns are gonna be The Pucker Up pronouns. Fuck and You...

Really, two whole fucks? That's actually quite a bit. For the most part, I don't give a singular fuck about any of it. My deal is this, if I'm fooled, great, they did their chosen job well. I am not on the prowl these days, so no shock later. Now, if the individual in question has a rack bigger than my wife's, dressed like me, or needs to shave worse than me, and dressed like my wife...I have a difficult time with their "chosen pronouns".
I'm not looking for discord. If someone wants me to believe something, they best believe it themselves and work at it.

It ain’t my fault they’re totally self involved and don’t own a boat.
