True, but they have never severed the tie completely....they are still very much a commonwealth...and share a rich deep history with England. A lot of Canadian boys landed on the beaches of Normandy, and a lot of them never made it back. For Tom here to be so flippant and sarcastic about the whole thing, is saddening.
