Exactly! They are a fully function force on the ground with skills. I just really think it's become obvious our leadership has been against the Israeli goals. It's like the meme with the opposing rocket attacks..."my tax dollars, somehow also my tax dollars" By all means, Israel has the right to fight their war. I also think they have the right to be pissed at DC for partly funding and freeing up money for those that attacked them.

The whole October 7th deal is shady at best. This is the same government that took out a nuclear scientist with a remote mounted machine gun placed in a cargo truck...loaded with boxes...sprayed the vehicle, and managed to only kill their target. His wife was in the passenger seat. James Bond level, and I think still beats the pager bombings.

I am completely fine with Israel's goals not being the same as ours. They are their own country, and should look out for their own best interests. Our country, however, shouldn't fund their, or any other country's best interests.

I'm not a huge fan of the funding we give Israel, but seems to me there is one side over there that is hell bent on genocide and the other is surrounded and wants to live in relative peace amongst themselves.

Isreal has the capability and the "not give a fuck-ness" to turn that whole area into glass. If they give the commitment, I will personally write a check for 3/4 of my net worth and mail it to them. Problem is, the US is also funding the other side, which makes it all just a big money wasting shitshow. Isreal seems not to give a shit, however....and are doing what they do best.

As I've posted about before....I used to know a guy through work who was former Israeli military (pilot). Having heard some of the stories he told about his past life, they are a ruthless people, have the capability and the desire to absolutely skull fuck their opponents. I'm not sure if they need our funding or not....but I'm happy to give it to them.

I'm not an educated person, but from what I can tell, Israel is about the only thing keeping that whole region in check. The only ones that decide to fuck with them are too stupid to realize what will (is) happen (happening) next (now).

Back in the mid 90's when the internet became a thing, I vividly recall seeing children's cartoons that were shown to Palestinian children on public television. It was disturbing and entirely geared towards instilling Jihad and the destruction of the Jews in their children's persona.
