I volunteered to haul a deck boat to havasu, it's going to a dealer for sale (not my boat) and also volunteered to leave it in my boat storage in havasu,.. it's empty, so why not... I'm to havasu to go to havasu deuces this weekend... last time I went through there there was major const.... would it be better to go through kingman...

thanks Big guy...so no closures???

They come and go. Nothing on the CA side, and I don’t think anyone knows what’s happening on the AZ side, but there were no closures or crossovers active when I went home across the 40 last night at 5. It’s nice and smooth and new through the Az scales now.

All the shitty stuff between Kingman & Yucca has been repaved if you're inclined to come that way

I was working on the AZ side of this. They're not done yet, but the plan is repave everything from Needle Mountain (Exit #2) to just west of the AZ95 Exit (#9). There will be single lane closures on and off. I worked on the Kingman to Yucca stuff as well. Contractor is FNF, and they're ok. I'm a little surprised that AZDOT lets them get away with some of the crap they lay down, but for the most part pretty smooth now where they've done the bigger stretches. I was also on AZ93 kinda between Wikieup and Wickenburg, and that's much better now too.

It still sucks!!!!!
I came to thru from Needles to Havasu yesterday, neither CA's work before the bridge nor AZ's work after is all that good. Better than nothing, I guess. I wonder is the ground shifts so fast they can't get the swells out? 🤷‍♂️

They've definitely eliminated the washboard & crumbling asphalt on the westbound 40 coming down from Kingman. The sections of 93 I drove on between the 71&40 back in Sept were either in good shape still or resurfaced.

He did say it's not his & is taking it to a dealer to sell.

If he would just post it up here, he wouldn't have to take to a dealer or storage. Maybe not even have to tow it at all, someone would come and get it. ;)

Yes, my favorite work was the 93 as it is super scenic through there. It was the long stretch from the Bagdad turnoff to just North of Nothing. Beautiful!

That's the stretch I drove a couple times last summer. The scenery along there is stunning for sure. 71 is the one that takes you up toward Bagdad & on into Prescott.

Yeah, I was picking up asphalt off the 71, but there is a specific Bagdad road up closer to Nothing. Goes into the mining town itself. Definitely worth the detour just to see this little town that is 100% supported by the mine. They even have their own Bashas. I understand all of the houses are owned by the mine, and leased/sold to workers. Not exactly sure if you can buy them outright.

We stop in for lunch and fuel while on our way to Prescott ( SXS ride )

Good eating at the steak house and at the diner car (closed last time we were thru there )

It’s a great ride from Havasu to Baghdad and back to Havasu

That's the 97, which I took a couple times also. Bagdad surprised me too, way more of a complete "town" than I expected. 9 hole Golf is free, only fee is if you want a cart.

Fuel prices were reasonable there as well. Not so much in Wikieup!!
