One foot in the stone age here.
FYI IDK what's going to happen when, but the laptop runs Windows 10, with not enough whatever for Windows 11.

So. On another note. I hate the subscription for Office. That is BS.

Just like phones with no removable battery. Even on this crappy 3rd one, refurbished S10. Lol. !°°!

However thanks for the fixings! Good to know, like Tom says, "But it's not me."
Dominate!

I just had two delays opening threads. The delay seems to be early on like it’s looking for the content.

Did your IT guys restart the web server?

To me it seems the website needs to be reindexed as the delay appears to be in pulling resources as part of the page load process.

Is the web site hosted on a single server or is there a DB backend server? I’d check the backend server. If it’s still on traditional hard drives maybe a file optimisation would help?

On a Desktop and all other websites opening fast and normal. RDP seems fine, then it slows way down. If I close entirely, then reopen it seems to be fine again, then after some random period, it's crawling or failing to load a new page at all.

Essentially unchanged from last week for me.

As long as we’re talking website performance.
I’m not complaining but I’ve always wondered on the picture heavy threads why when I click on them it always starts on the first page and I have to manually go to the last page and scroll down.
All the other threads take me to the last post or I can click on “latest post” and I’m there.
Note I use an IPhone almost exclusively on the site.
Does not do the same thing on other sites.
Just wondering…

Doesn't do that for me unless I haven't opened it for a week or more. I'm on an android

Was working great this morning. Then tried to open a page and there was a delay. Came to this page and it probably took 20-25 sec to open.

Was working fine, then started crawling again, same as it's been for several days now. Seems if I close out entirely, it comes right back up, but if I try to leave a thread and return to the lounge, the circle just keeps spinning and spinning.
But at least we can all rest comfortably, knowing River Dave's like always, works perfectly fine and we're all just a bunch of whiners. 😁;)

There is 992 lurkers on site right now, including 213 active robots.
I’m no expert, and will probably get scolded by those with big giant brains, but surely that has to clog things up?

Took just under a minute and a half for the pics in Havasu Rehab’s thread to load. It seemed to do okay for a day or two but it’s back to being slow.

I gave up watching a pic become visible an 1/8" at a time

@Admin Dude
@River Dave

Would it be possible to implement a data limit per page?

Meaning when there’s a thread with just text let it have the pre determined amount of posts per page. But on a photo heavy thread put a data cap that forces a new page after so many megabytes.

That way users aren’t having to download photos they’ve already seen in order to see new ones.

So far I've experienced no slow up today and I'd imagine the lurkers and data mining robots are more the norm rather than the exception. 🤷‍♂️

It's slow right now. Most afternoons / early evenings it's slow for me.
