Base is royal oak lump coal. Then I added a few pieces of red oak that I had left.glad someone understands how its done.
if you're not cooking a tri-tip on a grill like this (on hardwood), are you even really trying?
Haven’t cooked for the shop/office in awhile. Just spur or the moment type thingWhat’s the occasion?
I have one of the worst cooks on our fishing boat right now, we are all starving.

Thankfully no. It's a tough deal because he's definitely a guy that will quit if you hurt his feelings, Cap has him doing better and we only have a few days left and our main cook will be back.No rats or roaches to clean up that mess on the boat.
Seriously, I was just in the galley thinking that exact thing. I just had a guy in town spend 2.5 days disassembling and cleaning the stove until it looked like a stainless mirror.Keel Haul that man! The real cook is going be pissed when he returns.
Does the cook have to be on deck fishing? I thought it would be cool to cook on the grab boats on TV. But I’m not working on deck, I’m not tough like those guys.I have one of the worst cooks on our fishing boat right now, we are all starving.

One of the things I hated about working trawlers on the East Coast, I enjoy cooking for myself but not for others as a job.

The hard part is planning different meals. Can’t cook the same things more the 2x. Then it gets boring.
