And no employee discount or Christmas party invites. Those kiosks aren't exactly easy to navigate for someone that doesn't work there

Could not resist. You know it's poison.
We use the card for gas/groceries/big box retailers and online. Cash for nearly everything else. Restaurants, local markets, doctor co-pays, anything having to do with firearms and alcohol (I actually abstain from both of these types of items, so this is hypothetical, of course ) Local auto shop doing my brakes next week? Cash. Chimney sweep? Cash. Nursery? Cash. Butcher? Cash. Ranch supply? You guessed it.

There is a chipotle near me where their in line register took a dump for a couple days. So an employee stands outside and tells people the line is closed but you can order on the App and eat inside.
A week later I go in there and notice the line is much shorter than usual. I asked the manager if the register being out shifted people to other stores. She said business is the same, a lot of regular customers now order on the App and do not stand in line.
A majority of customers want efficiency as much as does the organization. They just need a reason to learn the technology to understand how much more efficient it is.
You can park here if you want to...bring pink flamingos though.
lol while I agree I can think of a lot of things society shouldn’t just roll over for.The only thing constant in this life is change.
It's strange how most people can't deal with that, and make themselves miserable by fighting it.
I've been guilty of it myself.
In Arizona?lol while I agree I can think of a lot of things society shouldn’t just roll over for.
We’re one bad earthquake away from FAFO when it comes to not having cash.
And just so we’re clear I love swiping the AMEX lol.
I guess its all is based upon your perspective (relative) and surroundings. In Arizona?

All locations have a “weak” point that can expose how fragile the internet and electronics are.
Our USA currency (dollar) is still the backing of our economy.
We all know what a $100 bill gets you. I have my doubts on exchanging silver eagles in a time of panic. I really don’t think you’ll be able to exchange crypto in a time of panic. The value will be too volatile, and that assumes you have the means to transact.
I was just trying to buy my wife a goddamn burger lol.
Kind of hard to have internet with no electricityProTip:
The Internet was designed from the ground up NOT to have a single point of failure.
It was originally designed by/for the military, so that no matter Where we were hit, communications would Always be in place.
And Al Gore had zero to do with it!
This is a pretty accurate read if you're interested...
The Invention of the Internet ‑ Inventor, Timeline & Facts | HISTORY
The Internet got its start in the United States more than 50 years ago as a government weapon in the Cold War. Unlike technologies such as the light bulb or the telephone, the Internet has no single “inventor.” Instead, it has evolved over time.www.history.com

$8 for the basic Tommy Burger now in Simi.Tommies is where it's at . . .
I bought a few T's at the bars T shop and it rang up with a 12% tip on it. I could decline but the total had the tip already factored in. This is me reaching up, grabbing 2 shirts off the hook my size and busting out the cash.Went to spring training baseball games last month, all 3 stadiums were cashless from point of entry to all concessions, the forced tip dealio not enthused
A few years back a fiber optic cable was cut in north Phoenix. It shut down tech to Northern AZ. No CC machines, no cell service and no internet except for Satellite...no I single point of failure, but a massive one. Couple days in the "dark ages"...Pretty sure this is why diesel generators and back up batteries were invented. HUGE buildings full of back-up power.
I can't remember which inmate it was, but someone on here used to install such systems, and knows far more than I do about it.
@Taboma maybe? I'm not sure.

Better to whom?A $20 tip looks so much better cash than on the credit card slip.
