So I was watching Our Presidents speech and they were showing video of the mourners/protesters in the background during their review. In one shot there were people holding up a casket and in the background others were being held off/Blasted by water cannons. I also read where many Iranians were tearing down anti-US propaganda billboards and tearing down statues of their fearful leader.
1500 protesters have been killed by Iran's Government in the last year.

I wasn't surprised by what Trump said, but by what he didn't say.

You are going to have to ask the person who claimed the 160 people killed on that plane were "bang for the buck" in reference to the strike that killed Soleimani if he was giving trump credit for that. One could easily argue that "bang for the buck" in modern usage would imply that you paid for one thing and got something extra in the same transaction. Holding to that says that the Soleimani strike included the bonus of the PS752 destruction... I reject the premise out of hand but want to respect the feelings of the OP.

You know what I like about America... Americans: I like them enough to believe none of them should go hungry. I like them enough to believe none of them should be without a bed to sleep in. I like them enough to believe that they should all have decent healthcare. I like the men and women in our military enough to believe we shouldn't sacrifice their limbs and lives foolishly. And by foolishly I mean sending them into wars that cant be won for reasons that can't be justified. I like Americas allies around the world. I like the power my passport has when crossing international borders a dozen times a year. I like our clean air. I like our clean water. (For most of us anyway, so sorry Flynt...). I like our National parks. I like our wildlife preserves. I like the vast areas of land we have set aside and said don't touch that. I like national holidays. I like my right to join a union. I like freedom of speech. I like my right to bear arms. I like that my daughter has almost the same opportunities in life as my son.

This list could go on and on. Wont bother with that at this point but it does beg the question:

How can you claim to love America yet not want to do everything possible to improve the lives of Americans?
