Motor number 1 saw it coming and tried to bail

It’s like the motors is too short.

Almost appears steering was giving on the number one motor and in that turn it was countersteering against the others only reinforcing the possibility of the roll. Should never treat a center console as a MOD VP.

I don't get it, did the starboard motor gearcase lock up or something. You would think the other motors would compensate for the drag of the one

I had a gearcase break off on a twin cat, single piece drive shaft must have got stuck on the way off, it hooked really hard but didn't flip over.

Clamp bracket/mount failure. The dead rise on most of these cc's is too steep and on hard turns the outside motor surfaces. It's really hard on parts.

That boat with trips probably would have been fine. It happens frequently with multi engine boats like that.

On a Blackwater (boat in vid) generally the center two motors have the actual steering units and the outside engines (1&4) are slave and just tied to them with a rear side tie bar. I would like to know if that tie bar came loose and caused motor 1 to walk, or simply if the hydraulics failed. Scary regardless.

Was it a stepped hull?

Yes, it was a stepped hull and not the first time this had happened. I believe this was actually during testing after the boat was repaired following the first accident.

A significant portion of the hull delamanaited as well.

I had heard this boat might have been dropped from a forklift at some point? There are comments on facebook saying the delam started at the bow thruster, if it was actually dropped that would make sense why it delamed from that point back.

Too much boat in the water along with 3 of the 4 engines look intact for the boat to roll. Something else going on there. The outside stbd engine didn't look happy, was it reacting to whatever caused the crash?

So AFTER the 1st incident where drives broke off - spun out & we weren’t killed…..finally got that repaired after many many months waiting to get it back & unable to use…This first video here is the brand new boat again delivered back to me in Biloxi looking great….BUT….BUT…..
Headed out to go fish it for the first time since back from 1st incident repair….not even 45 minutes headed out in Gulf & this 2nd incident happens - the 2nd time our lives could have been lost but bodily damage but we kept it from sinking to get back to shore……
Surveyor’s Reports MANUFACTURER DEFECT and Delamination thru out hull"

Yea, that might make that end engine vibrate.

Agreed. If I had one, I'd put a couple of down riggers and a few rocket launchers on it with full tackle just to spice it up and make new friends.
