The hard wired system I installed is 8mp cameras and retailed cost was about $4k. HDMI cable feeds my 72" TV and the quality of video is very, very good. No cost for me other than the installation which I did myself.

Wyze v3 (wired). This was taken just now at 7:14pm. The twilight vision works great. They also have outdoor camv2 that are wireless

I love our Nest cameras. We had other brands, all of which are mentioned above, and they all got replaced with Nest cams.

I'm surprised the SV3C cameras haven't been mentioned yet. Not the best by any means but nice features for the money. PTZ, human/animal detection, auto tracking, decent night vision, 2 way audio. I've been using them for 5 years no problems (yet). I'm running wifi with a mesh system and 11 cameras.

Also if you are interested looked into Simply Safe. It is a whole security system but gets good reviews, people seem to be happy with their system. Not to expensive and 24 hour monitoring. Cameras and door window censors etc.

As you can see, even the 4k changes to black and white without ample backlighting. Seems all should be in color?

I have a few Ring cameras around the house. The Ring Doorbells are just ok, delays and sometimes doesn't trigger. But the Ring Spotlights and Floodlights work much better for me.

That's when you get into the big $$$ camera systems. My camera's are 8mp and 3 are in color 24/7 due to the provided light source for those zones. Granted it doesn't take a bunch of light for color at night with higher definition camers but it's still lower quality due to lack of natural daylight.

As long as you have good Wi-Fi, Ring all the way. I got to say I am not impressed by a lot of things, but ring is top notch. Everything from camera options, to the cloud dvr, to the simplicity of the app. If you can,do hardwire set ups versus the solar panels.

I have ring cameras at my house at home but this last year when I gutted my River house, I added seven exterior cameras, and two interior cameras. I can literally see almost every corner from 200 miles away.

@paradise Do you do any of the poe installs?

This is where you really start to see the quality difference on some of the newer cameras. Things like starlight+ and 24/7 color technologies built into the cameras that give you amazing quality even with very little outside illumination. Some of it is pretty impressive but it gets expensive.

I have Reolink at Havasu place and Zmodo in my main residence, both via Wifi. I'm happy with both. Also have Simplisafe alarm system which works well and is very user friendly.

Havasu place only has (2) cameras and I got small solar panels for each. Never an issue and always at 100% charge.

Any recommendations for a company that will sell / install hardwire cameras in Havasu?

I've got about 15+ of the Wyse from the time they started, several years ago. My first thought was they were so inexpensive, $20, I'd buy them, just to see where I would want cameras. A while back they offered storage for up to 100 cameras for $99/yr. Added that.
I have them in 4 different cities. overall, they work great. There is no PC app, yet, only iPhone and Android. The new models have much better color in low light conditions.

The lack of a website to stream my WYZE cameras from, is my only complaint with Wyze. I work where I cannot have a cellphone, and it would be nice to see whats going on in my house without having to walk to the parking lot to view from my phone.

Otherwise, Ive have a few WYZE cams for years and the have been great, and are super cheap. They also have 2 way audio communication like others.

I also have a ZModo hardwired setup in my shop. It has a DVR that records 96 hours i believe from 4 cameras. It works good to review footage straight from the DVR, but the app is more clunky than the WYZE app.

How do the exterior Ring cameras with the solar panel hold up in the Havasu heat and sun if not mounted in a location that can be shaded? Any issues if mounted where direct sunlight will affect the cameras over time?
I have the same question, solars seem way easier to install, but don’t know how they perform especially I. Havasu weather. Any input would be appreciated

Run an Android emulator on your PC and you can run the Wyse app.
Bluestacks is one

I put in a hardwired system called Reolink at my new office, it’s not wifi dependent aswell I wanted non subscription dvr type deal that just works. Online app works well for remote viewing. It’s was pretty cheap on Amazon with 4 cameras but can be expanded to 8.

Who has the best price on rings, do you have to purchase solar panels separately. Do you have ability to power 2 cameras off of one panel. Sounds like these Rings will last in the havadu sun

They were $50 off at Costco few weeks ago. The 3 pack battery ones. I bought a 2 pack cord adapter that's 30' long. Instead of solar and plugged them in.

Also bought 2 of the motion flood light ones that came with another indoor camera.

They were listed same price on Amazon at the time.

Put up 5 at my house and a few at river pad. Have a few extras. But need to ad more outlets for power.

They were on special for $199 at Costco for the 3. This is the plug in kit I used. So they are hardwired.

I purchased the Blink ones and am happy with them so far. I had a glitch in one unit, and they exchanged it with no problem. They run on lithium batteries. No wires attached to them. I can't attest to how they will work in the heat, but they seem to have no issues with the freezing temps.

… I have no cameras… No money therefore, I can leave my doors unlocked…
… Previously in El Barrio Noho it was a different story… I had 3 13 inch TVs and three cheap cameras from Harbor freight… Turn the TVs on when I wanted to see the chaos in the neighborhood… turn them off at night… Apparently the necessity for ring type cameras has increased substantially???…
… I hate having the feeling of the necessity for home security???…
