Some friends are there with Ryan and Becci Hunter Reay. We weent with them all in 2019. Pulling for RHR bit Scoot Mac was fierce in teh fast 6 final qualifying.
The infield shit show cannot be beat!

Fingers crossed they get it in. If nothing else I'm looking forward to opening ceremonies. I'll probably shed a few tears.
Always!

I think he will need the seat time. Not that he won’t learn it quickly. He seems to be able to adapt to anything with wheels and a motor . But with 20 cars around him it will be different than what he has seen so far.
Also wonder. Say he wins the cup championship this year. Does he put his time into Indy. Or even start ( if he hasn’t) looking at F1.

Larson just needs to remember this is open wheel racing. No banging fenders and bumpers unless you want to crash yourself out.

I don't follow indy, but Larson is my driver for Nascar. How do they handle rain out/ delays with indy?

If they get half the race in and it rains and they cannot restart that day they'll call the race and you finish in your current position. If they have less than half the race in they will postpone to the next day.

Larson is one of the best, but he's not going to F1. He's too American.

Looking for today’s practice speeds. Where did Larson compare to ??
Last I saw he was about 224 mph and 12th
(Had to leave)

More curious if he picked up speed after running in and with traffic for the last hour or so of practice today

Weather still doesn’t look good. Hope it’s a short delay or moved to Monday. But that’s not as cool as running the dual same day. All assume he won’t miss the coke 600 and risk his cup championship. Current rule is he must start the race every race to be eligible. NASCAR could give him a waiver. They already said they may delay start(briefly) for him, but they can’t do much with all the media/tv partners.

This just in...bummer for those in attendance.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis Motor Speedway officials have delayed the start of today's Indianapolis 500 due to impending inclement weather in central Indiana and have asked the 125,000-plus fans inside the venue to exit the grandstands and the Snake Pit and seek shelter. IMS announced approximately 345,000 tickets were purchased for the race

Looks like they're going to try and get it in as long as they can start before 5:00 pm local time, bummer for Larson.

🤞🙏. More rain. Then we get to watch racing on Monday also. 😜
Doppler looks like the rain has past, but sometimes that can be misleading. I'd like to see it tomorrow too.

I hope not. He’s got a big points lead and in the playoffs. But I also know it’s been won or lost by a point or two.

Larson is in the playoffs...
He'll most likely lose the point lead but that's about it.
Gotta believe Rick Hendrick made the call to stay at Indy.
He's got millions invested &there's millions in exposure for Hendrickcars.com.
I read an article last year about Hendrick taking a chance on Larson following his suspension.
Nobody wanted to sponsor him for fear of woke reprisal.Hendrick decided to self sponsor &cut the check.
According to the article Hendrickcars.com saw over a 1000 percent increase in traffic.
Sales were up double digits &employee morale was off the charts.
There have been several corporations wanting in on primary sponsorship most notably Valvoline.
Apparently the exposure has been so lucrative for Rick Hendricks that he's turned down all suitors.
It's also been said that one of the major reasons Tony Stewart is selling his charters in NAPCAR was due to the fact Ford refused to allow Stewart/Haas to hire Larson and it pissed Stewart off to the point he's at now.

They Just said it was Rick who made the final decision. To many people and to much invested to let them all down. 👍👍👍

FYI. F. TS. 🙃

Jeff Gordon played a huge part in this. He’s Hendrick’s link to continue the empire that’s been built.
Larson got black flagged over the N word slip and that was that.
So, Hendrick has the opportunity to pick up one of the most talented drivers of our time and he has the money, market and Chevrolet in his back pocket.
He didn’t get where he is by not taking calculated risks. I’d say they are paying off.

Just heard Larson's car will be started by someone else and Kyle will replace him and finish the race.

Got to say the AMR crew are on their game.
Were at Lundquist (sp). Before he even stopped it seemed.
Looks like it’s gonna be a long day.
