There are some amazing youtube channels out there. This one i stumbled across a while back and found it super interesting. These 2 friends sneak into abandoned property to film and document it.

This one is pretty sad, The owners of this beautiful office campus, which was completely useable and in perfect working order, had it demolished to sell the property

Preserving some history before it's destroyed.

I like this kid that buys and fixes f’d up super cars. Really shows you that Lamborghini and to an extent Ferrari are kind of kit cars in regards to many of their parts can be sourced at other manufacturers for much less money. He found out that his Lamborghini’s throttle bodies were actually from Volvo for a lot less.

Into steam locomotives?

Friend of a friend works at the Colorado Railroad Museum. Got to meet him through my FIL who worked at the Pine Creek Railroad in Allaire NJ.

Hyce has some great videos about steam locomotives. How to start the fire, stoke them, repair them, drive them and a bunch of other cool stuff for steam powered locomotives.

Just learning and watching how the Walschaerts valve gear operates on a steam locomotive is incredible.

I'm always impressed by the work Kurtis does. His shop doesn't have the latest and greatest equipment, but he knows how to use what he has. What really makes it interesting to me is that the material he fabricates must undergo insane stresses on the mining and excavating equipment he repairs. It requires specialized steel and processes, and sometimes post fabrication heat treatment.

It's all very interesting stuff.
