Fyi, Starting this year LID is gone and you can get it removed from existing job's
Yeah I told that to the inspector and he said since it's on the plans we need it. I can't even get ahold of lid now. The emails no longer work.

Waiting on the inspector now. Going to show him that I have tried.

I refunded my first beef deposit to an Alta Dena customer yesterday that was scheduled for February 8th delivery. We've got a grip of customers with homes affected. Four orders confirmed canceled so far. I'm guessing as many as 12 orders to be cancelled in the coming weeks. Most are existing customers so no deposits to deal with thankfully. My problems from this fire are trivial compared to what these folks are going through, but it's a problem, nonetheless. When dealing with live animals and butcher appointments that have been planned 6 months in advance, last minute pivoting isn't easy. Upside is, wait times for beef just got really, really short:rolleyes:
If you get in a pinch with orders I’ll take what I can. I don’t have enough freezer space but I’ll split it up amongst friends
My dad lost his home of 70 years in Altadena and is currently living with us. I’ll treat him to a good steak!

Just skimmed through this thread so if I missed I’m sorry. Doesn’t matter about permits or any of that. The cost of lumber is going to be higher than most countries income. We saw it before a couple of years ago, but with the rebuilding in the Carolinas and such, now this huge HUGE loss of homes, you could probably retire wealthy if you had a bunk of plywood. This is going to kill the rest of the economy.

I talked to the inspector about it today. He said they have enough inspectors. But not enough plan checkers. It already averages 18 months to get a new build approved from start of drawing the plans. He said there is a lot of room at west LA for more plan checkers. And said they will have to hire more. He's not looking forward to inspection there. Said he dreads going to LA office as it is. And occasionally had to fill in that area.

To all the people saying they are moving to Arizona becuase of the New Nazi party running that state, (California) I say just dont bring your California ways with you PLEASE
Lake Havasu is already suffering with major growing pains as it is what with all the snowbirds.
The city has reached its capacity some time ago, the traffic, doctors, restaurants, bars and especailly housing which has gone berserk cost wise, just look at 3 of the major areas housing costs, The Riveria, The Foothill Estates and the area north behind Blondzies!!!!!!
I certainly understand the desire to get out of that state as we did some 20 years ago but dragging with you all of thier crap will just ruin Havasu and the rest of Az :(

You are 100% wrong about the coastal commission, I have been contracting along the coast for over 30 years and they are nothing like NAZIS. Nazis can not be bought off, the coastal commission plays to the highest bidder. The coastal commission is fascist
This dude is on a mission. He could “save” California by himself. He’s trying to kill the “bullet trains to nowhere as well

Especially the god damn Californian truck drivers. Throwing piss jugs out on Cirriaco summit from the hammer lane.
