You and your family are middle class and lost everything in a so called Hurricane, your savings is very minimal because of Bidenomics. Your government (Kamala) says FEMA is going to hand out 750.00 per family but first you have to qualify and apply for it, before you get it and you will have to pay it back. Your President says he donated all he can donate, and it is now up to the American people to help.
Now imagine that you, for the last 4 years have watched 100 billion tax payers dollars go to Ukraine and just this week 17 billion dollars be given to 3 different countries. Now imagine watching hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants get a free cell phone, an average of 2,400 a month on a debit card , food stamps and free health care and free housing.. NOW CAN you tell me THEY are for the American people????Asking for all the states affected by the hurricane. You may not like 🇺🇸TRUMP but he donated 25 million dollars, brought a tanker of gas, and multiple semi trucks full of supplies, started a Go Fund me page that raised half a million dollars in 17 minutes, and ask Elon Musk to bring in Starlink . Bottom line he showed up and did something. Like him or hate him . Actions matter. ❤️🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸

Also imagine that you work for 35 year. Contribute into SS for ALL that time then you have a medical emergency. Have to take 3 months then go back to work. After 5 months you realize that you are not able to perform past requirements that you could and was a leader of your team. Now can’t work the last part of your carrier even though would want to. No the government says that you are not disabled and can’t receive any funds that you contributed to the system. Yet they are giving $$$ to other counties and illegals in our country. 🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕

And, to add insult to injury. . .

You still have to file your 1040 by April 15 and, your property taxes are due.

If I lived in one of the disaster areas, I'd be half tempted to just "disappear"

Let them think me and the wife died or where swept away. Disappear off the radar.

Probably a lot harder than it sounds but, it would be tempting.

Just cross the border and come back, ala no comprende. Instant income & cell phone. 🤪

I don’t understand it…

What is it going to get you the tax payer - Less taxes, better interest rates, low inflation, better job opportunities, better housing
and
How is it going to better the country - less drain on the system, people receiving handouts that haven’t paid into the “ System “

Plenty of examples of “ the Man “ holding back people….

Also -
Why is it that public schools are just fine …. Until an election year !

Unfortunately almost half of the country including some real special ones on here do not understand your point. The rest of the normal people see it clearly. Scary times.

I Sent it to a buddy. My phone was blowing up for a while. He claims it's all lies. His brain is literally fried from watching so much TV. I have told him for months to throw the tvs in the trash and live life. No TV in my house.

Imagine just for a second if more people realized that they are primarily responsible for themselves and far less reliant on the government(s).

Step # 1 ---- Realize that you and you alone are responsible for YOU and your wellbeing. The citizens of this nation are NOT your mommy and you are NOT our responsibility.
Step # 2 ---- you live in an area prone to weather related hazards, be aware of them and plan for them accordingly.
Step # 3 ---- Have adequate insurance, to protect the investment in your home and or personal property.

If some or none of those options are possible, it's best you give up and die, or relocate and reassess your life choices because you're well on your way to becoming officially "Unhoused" and a complete burden on society.
Or you could sit around and whine --- It's not fair that the government is pissing away our tax dollars on other people's problems, and not you too.

17 years ago when my wife and I lost every single possession including our family pet to a raging wildfire, we never once cried out for FEMA HELP US.

What FEMA did do was assist our own county's Emergency Response unit to establish a recovery center we could attend.
Within were numerous portable tables, at which sat various members of the county's staff who provided various services.
At one table sat a representative from FEMA.
They provided us with a FEMA Federal Disaster Area Number. Having that number was a key to opening various other available services, like discounts for building materials, fast tracking and fee exemption for building permits, that number proved to be extremely helpful in ASSISTING US, into restoring our lives.

It was also like attending a trade show, each person was given a bag, and there were various community charities providing "Kits", like a 5 white gallon bucket with various personal and cleaning supplies as one example. Another might hand out MRE's, or other articles you need when you don't even own a toothbrush.
If you had a baby or a child, or even pets, they had items to assist you in caring for them as well.

Think of it like a one stop shopping center for obtaining information packets needed for rebuilding, they had the ability to print out most recorded property documents, like tax records, copies of building permits, parcel maps, in our case, even an original plan for our septic system.

In other words, they weren't there to coddle you, hand you fistfulls of dollar bills, or solve all your life's problems, they were assembled to assist you by providing the tools that would aid you in more efficiently restoring your own life.
The rest was up to YOU.

The true miracle that followed this disaster wasn't anything the government did or didn't do, it was the generosity of other people helping other people and even certain local businesses ready to help in so many various ways.

While I agree with your post, I'm pretty sure that's not what this thread is about.

It's about having resources for the American people in time of need and not giving it out to the world, especially the warmongering scum that likes to kill and maim people for profit, but of course, I could be wrong?

We're in agreement our government frequently spends our financial resources unwisely both here and abroad.

We do not always agree on to whom and for what those expenditures are for and which ones are warranted.

We may or may not be in agreement in our expectations and burden of responsibility and what should be expected following a disaster.

Thank you for sharing your opinion of what you think were the intentions of this thread.

Excuse me for attempting to suggest positive actions and expectations of reality into yet another obviously negative themed political ranting thread. 👍

Your argument for personal responsibility and self reliance is so Baby Boomer.

Times have changed, that view is long dead.

Also rather typical boomer, I've apparently found myself confused and in the wrong thread at the wrong time. 🤣

Pretty sure we all know what the thread is about and again, it’s about having the means to help the American people, not foreigners and the corrupt.

No need to excuse yourself, butt I see you pulled out another scorned lil one. 🤣

Here's some more funds for Americans errrrrr illegal aliens................

NYPD Admits Armed Migrant Kids From Gov't-Funded Roosevelt Hotel Terrorizing Times Square

The third world comes to Times Square...

20% of the hotels in New York City are occupied by illegals and you're paying for it!!! 😆
Real easy to tell who are the migrants in NYC--they are all waring the newest/nicest clothes, brand new shoes, women pushing brand new strollers and the teenagers are hanging around the city benches and parks smoking weed. This is not an exaggeration--I was just there in June.

Wait until WE get the bill to restore those hotels after the illegals are eventually re-homed.

We pay twice! Complete and utter BS. Flush NYC out to sea and start over.

Latest US totals to Ukraine range from $174 billion to $225 billion. We left $100 billion in the mirror a long time ago.
No one really knows how to add it all up.
This admin (the deep state) needs Ukraine, they don’t need us peasant United States citizens.
