Right so I go to my old place as I'm still storeing stuff there. Well my cousin figured she clean up the garage a little bit.

The Bitch just destored about 10k worth in parts. put a 1/8" deep gouge in a crank, droped a 1071 blower which now won't spin and cracked a tripower pontiac intake.

I'm fucking livid.

I mean wtf, It was too heavy to lift off the shelf, maybe you should have left it fucking alone.

Now she is 20 years old, she knows fucking better.

I'm so fucking pissed.

There is no way in hell I can aford to replace those parts, I might as well sell the rest of the parts and the boat for that matter.

Son of a bitch.

So much for the better part of 3 years pinching pennys

Yellowboat, you're telling me a chick tried to pick up a 10-71 blower.. by herself? I'd barely try to pick an assembled one up by myself.. LOL Their freakin heavy!

Cracked a pontiac tri power intake?

And how does someone put a gouge in a crank?

I feel bad for you man, seems like you've been having a a couple of bad weeks.. Months.

Dude, you have had a bad year, sorry man.I guess all you can do it keep trying. Maybe get the blower apart and see whats wrong? Pontiac intake? Sounds rare and expensive,id be looking for some e-bay/CL/cartrader,etc adds for your replacement to show who ever you feel is responsable. And about the crank, maybe make some lemonaid out of that lemon with a weld and offset grind? You wanted to stroke whatever it was anyway, right?;)

Rare is a understatement. the motor I was going to put it on there were only 16 made that year. 64 421 HO pontiac, came out of a bonnie. How it ended up in a boat I'll never know. Manifold alone was about $750, with carbs add atleast another $500 top of that.

as far as the crack... It was a scat 4.3" forged crank that had abunch of work done too it. I was planing on a 521 blower motor.

The 10 71 was a gift, from a friend that passed away last year. It was way more blower then I needed, but I figured I'd use it in honor of Jim.

All I really needed was heads and valve train.

Best guess on how they gouged the crank was to drop something on it. you know like a 10 71. The crankwas infront of the blower, and I had a sheet of 1/4" ply in front of the shelfs to protect them.

OUCH !
Never to much blower
I got two complete sets of Grumpys iron heads for blower motor and most of the valve train, if that helps. :smackhead

Make her go to Hot rod traffic school. If you can dig up some film/video that shows such classic historic parts and try to make realise wtf she did to your prized possessions and what the value of them are/was. Just an idea she's 20 good luck.

I don' know how you get a dumbass 20 year old to quit messing with things that don't belong to her, but this is a lesson that woman needs to learn. She probably can't afford much, but she needs to be paying what she can.
Fock, Y.B. I am out of words for you.

YB Holy shit! Seriously 2011 has to be a better year.

Speaking from a girl's perspective, ummmmm there's no way in HELL I would touch boat parts. I know better.

I know the people at Scat really well, so if you decide not to scrap your project let me know and I will see what they can do with the crank. Don't give up yet.

She does not even have a job, there is no way in hell she can pay for it.

I'm really thinking hard about telling my family just to fuck off.

Blowers are pretty rudementary things.. What do you think is causing it not to spin anymore?

What kind of blower is it?

Rick from Mooneyham is a lurker on here, and I'm sure can and will help you out.. If nothing else he can tell you what is wrong with it. There is another guy that knows the guys from Scat. I'm sure the manifold can be fixed as well if it's just a crack? Maybe welded etc?

The snout is vizably tweaked. Its a littlefield. It just happen to be one of about a dozen blowers Jim had collecting dust. I was over there, refinishing the wood in the bed of his 100% stock 33 ford truck. He just said:" here take this and make some big power"

Jim was by far the nicest guy I ever met. Long time hot rod guy and drag racer, started back in the 50s. His barn would make any one of us cream in our pants. That barn had every thing from a 40 hp flat head to a 427 SOHC and just about every thing in between. His wife limited him to 100 blocks at one point.

The crack is pretty big and its in the driver side rear runner. I'm sure it could be fixed, but I have a feeling by the time all is said and done, I'd be better off looking for another intake.

Post pictures of the intake and the blower (if you can capture the tweak on film)

I'll ask Rick about them..

You might also try and claim the most expensice items damaged on your home owners insurance. You would be surpirsed what policies cover on items not inside your home. Ive had ski's stolen from a ski lodge and it covered it, friends video camera dropped, bikes stolen etc...and homeowners covered it.

Make her pay the dedeuctible.
