Usually I go to Barrett but I was kind of in a hurry and AJ couldn’t get the boat in until August. Called Iguana, they got it in timely and were really cool to work with, very customer service oriented. Text updates, done on time, boat clean when I picked it up etc. They did an upgrade from hydraulic assist to full hydraulic, brackets had to be fabricated etc., install came out very nice.

I’m still a fan of Barrett but also very impressed with these guys and their wives who run the place.

I’ve refereed them four customers that couldn’t get in anywhere else. I gotta say the feedback has been all positive. [emoji106]. Better than positive actually.

Tried iguana to find an oil leak, I was really hoping to be a return customer but not gonna happen. Leak was found and fixed (loose trim pump lines)
But when I picked up the boat it was filthy (she said she would have it cleaned before returned to garage) and this... still waiting for a replacement hose

Glad others have had good experiences.

Apparently so... ive never lifted the drive that high. Even on the trailer its a few feet in the air.

Honest mistake I agree, shit happens. They tried to deny it i called bullshit and after a few conversations they agreed to replace it.

Well, the way you kicked the door in with your original post, it appears that you have not made any progress in smoothing out the situation. 🤔

They damaged parts, had to give them shit to fix it, and said I was still waiting parts. Ive had several other people/shops work on the boat in the past with no issues.

Didn't bust down any doors and like I said I'm glad other people had good experiences, I was just dissapointed.

Paige took it there on your advice and the boat was not finished on time due to a parts supply issue. They delivered the boat to Parker for any inconvenience this might have caused her.

She is very pleased with Iguana.

By looking at the damage to the swim platform that’s not the first time.

Sometimes things happen. How a shop responds or fixes a problem is equally as important to me. That’s why I’m such a big fan of certain shops.

Sorry, I did not have a good experience with Iguana. They know it, I know it and the mechanic I took it to after to repair knows it.

Very pleased with Iguana Marine. Called them while on the lake broken in a pinch, they offered to stay late in the shop on a Friday until I made it in and were extremely friendly. A lot of high end boats in there wasn’t expecting such quality customer service. Will definitely be scheduling future maintenance/repairs with them

It's interesting you say that. I am a huge fan of supporting local business. I believe that if I spend my money local that it will eventually find its way back to me. I buy parts locally any time I can even if it costs me a little more. As far as I'm concerned we are all in this together.

Id put some limiters on that drive or this is gonna be a reoccurring problem.

Boats a 2013 and hasnt been an issue. Robert at iguana recommended putting spacers in the rams to prevent it from happening again.

Person I sold the boat to is a mechanic so chances are it won't see another shop for some time.

Although it is obvious to us that this is not the first time this has happened and apparently a known issue, I don't feel it was unreasonable for us to initially think we didn't cause this, however we are in the process of getting you a new drive shower hose so that we can replace it for you free of cost.

I do find it a little concerning that you will not continue to use us because we made what I feel is an honest mistake and corrected it. I would ask as a business owner that once this issue is resolved that you give us another chance to earn your business.

We are, after all, only human and not above making mistakes. For me personally it's not about the mistake that was made but how the mistake is handled. At this point all I can do is order the replacement part and try to make it right.

If you'd like we could put trim limiters in your rams to ensure that you don't have this issue again in the future. I offer this to you free of charge as well.

Just give me a call at 928-733-5200 and we can make arrangements to get it done for you.

if you push the up button and the drive collides with your swimstep, that's on you, especially if you didn't tell them.

I'm curious if anyone besides the owner of the boats thinks this is the shop's fault

If I were you I would stop trying to explain yourself on a public forum especially this one. You will drive yourself crazy. Just know you can’t make everyone happy. It sounds like your off to a good start with your reputation in town besides a few. Good luck to you.

Robert I appreciate your comments and your honesty... and yes, shit happens... nobody's perfect and ill be honest I'm not an easy person to please BUT when I'm paying for services to fix a something I'd expect that something to come back better than it was when picked up... right?

I called iguana and everything that was said to be done was done, phone calls, pick up drop off times etc. Perfect

My dissapointed started when I opened the garage with the new owner of the boat (which was with me when it was put away, freshly detailed and no smashed hoses) and we both say "wtf this things filthy!" Strike 1

Blah blah blah get in the boat, shit battery's are on and stereo is on, shit!! Strike 2 (but the chargers were plugged back in so maybe 1/2 strike)

Blah blah blah walk around to the back of the boat to remove extension cord SHIT!! Drives smashed into the swim step... strike 3

So is it my fault I didn't tell you to watch the drive when its raised?? Probably... ive learned my lesson, itll never happen again. Am I out of line for being dissapointed?? My boat was not returned better than it was when picked up, which is what I expect and would be willing to bet everyone on here expects the same.

I just sat out an entire summer building a new engine and doing the drive upgrade, probably 30k (10 if my wife ever asks) I wouldn't be sweatin you for a $60 hose if I woulda fucked it up myself and I I'm pretty good at fuckin shit up.

Freshly detailed and put away few days before you picked it up.

I appreciate him coming on here and clearing the air. Its refreshing, especially with the celebrity status most shops take in Havasu.

I have to ask after seeing the pic of the transom. With entry onto the boat from both sides why do you need that tiny swim step?? Seems to me, as was said earlier, there's a bunch of things going on right there that wouldn't be nice to come into contact with.

When looking at the smashed hose and the area above on the DECK, there has been problems for quite some time. Just looking at the rubbed area, I would have never even brought the subject up.

I can also give a plus 1 for Iguana. I have used another shop for years here in town, my last time wasn't all that great. This year I left my father in-laws boat with them for a service. 4 weeks later after our scheduled appt still having to call and follow up daily why its not done, one excuse after another and a couple new magical issues.

During this time, my buddy asked me to get his boat serviced and I asked if he was ok trying out a new shop and he said sure. Walked in to Iguana on Wednesday to ask, he said if I could bring it in that day he'd have it out next day. Sure enough, just as he said, got a call less than 24hrs later to pick it up, serviced and ready to go and for the price quoted. no appt, 24hrs from drop off to pick up.....

It’s not a question of something eventually happening at any shop , things do happen . What separates the good shops from bad is the good ones own the issue and correct it . Iguana seems to be doing the right thing ...

These guys are unbelievable! Called Iguana Marine and spoke with Robert about an issue i was having with my boat going into guardian mode. Robert said to bring the boat into their shop today and they'd be able to get me on the water this weekend...Middle of summer mind you. Couldn't even get a call back from my regular service shop that I've been using for 9 years. Anyways, dropped my boat off with Iguana at 145 pm today...drove back to Parker Dam...they called me at 330 pm to let me know that my boat was done..and lake tested! Unreal!

My Tritoon is there now. Called Robert after coming off the water with a leak in the transom seal. He got me in the next day and even picked the boat up from storage. Constant communication with the shop and repairs are in process. So far great and honest experience.
