Not just a great western. It should be in the top spot for best film of all time. Its a great film........... A teacher friend of mine wanted to show her grade seven class the Last of The Mohicans. Parents complained and she wasn't able to show it. I told her to show the Searchers instead, better lesson on much the same subject. She thought the Mohicans was based on real historic fact!

I also have to agree with you regarding Randy Rhoads. My family and his family all grew up together with only a few houses between. Many kids on our block took musical instrument lessons at their home, usually on Saturdays. He taught guitar to several neighborhood kids.
He also would write and practice his new material in the garage. Many times the cops showed up to tell us to turn down the amps as the neighbors were complaining from blocks around ours. What we wouldn’t give to have him back with us today. I am very close to the family and we get together often.
