I miss all those guys as well but it's not like they are banned or anything. They can come on here and participate anytime they like.

I believe Roland sold his boat back to Froggystyle. Not sure if he picked up anything new yet or not.

Something tells me there is much much more
To this story. [emoji4]

There really isn't some back story here. JBB and myself couldn't come to a resolution over something. Couple of hooligans took off when he left. The real interesting part if there is a story is the #'s have been up since the hooligans left, the problems have been down, and my life has become easier as an owner. Not real difficult to see where I am going to weigh in on the subject should it ever come back around.

Who are these so called Hooligans? As far as I know Hooli hasn't been on in years.

Everyone that posts there still posts here except for maybe two. I don't bother with the slapstick humor any longer but the comedy does not seem missed here much.

Good for you RD but pinning your numbers being up on Brian leaving is hideous. Your still growing regardless. You have been in that mode since 2007 best I can tell...LOL.

No one said they were banned.... Hooligans... who?

Id like to see Phebus posting again... Doesn't mean he is banned.

TPC, I agree with you.

My post about #'s had nothing to do with JBB at all. I think he was a remarkable asset to RDP, and I miss his posts daily. I was referring to a couple of members that treated this place like their own personal club house. Had zero problems running people off if they felt like it.. Constantly told me what I should be doing, and if I didn't obviously I'm an idiot, or they'd actually get mad at me if I didn't follow their advice (which is still mind boggling to me). Would constantly push the limits of patience and tolerance and then fall back under the guise of "Know RD personally" so I can get away with it, type shit..

I gotta tell ya.. Friends or no friends, place runs smoother without em and the #'s reflect it was the point I was making.

Just yesterday I was in the "From the Mold Section" and I clicked the rules thread at the top. There's 10 - 20 deleted posts in there (that I deleted) of stupid shit that was there for no other reason then to make my life difficult. It was a solid reminder of some of the shit I was dealing with non stop, and I don't miss it at all. I can say now after months without it, I had kind of forgotten about what a pain in the ass it was, until I clicked that thread.

Site may be growing like crazy, but the vibe is different, and not it a great way for me. I miss the humor. That's really the only reason I came here in the first place.

I hope it continues to grow.

HI Ross. :)

I don't speak for the others, although I happen know where everyone mentioned in this thread is, including Hooli.

In my case, I've been around. I've read the threads regarding your health issues and I have posted supportive comments. Perhaps you noticed those posts? My heart went out to you and it still does. I hurt for you, my friend.

RDP has been steered in a new direction. Instead of trying to cling to the old, I'm looking forward. Dave has my best wishes on this site, his livelihood, and in life.

In retrospect, I don't bring anything tangible to Dave. I don't talk much about boats. I happen to have a boat project on the back burner but I haven't even bought anything from RDP vendors. I'm just a freeloader here, hanging out with my buds. It's time for me to get off the couch and move on.

It has been my intention to stop by RDP, from time to time. It still is. The more time goes by, the less I think to visit. A very nice person sent me a link to this thread. That's what brings me here today. I appreciate his note.

You can find a lot of boating people on facebook these days, although I don't personally spend a lot of time there anymore, either. There's something about my nieces and nephews asking about "adult" content on my timeline that helps me understand I'm doing it wrong.

Best wishes to you, Ross. This isn't goodbye. I intend to drop by, from time to time. Best wishes to RDP, also. There are some great people here.

Boatfloating,, and Hzoski2fast.
Dennis was a mean drunk,, but still a character and I wish he'd re-join us.

I hope is well with Rocky.
Not a week goes by that I do something boating, traveling, or RVing that I was influenced by Rocky in some way and he crosses my mind.

Maybe its just me, but, it seems like like Froggy and WhiteWorks got really bitter at the end there, almost challenging any post they could...

It's sort of sad to see people move on....but like anything in life, change is imminent. I too have gotten to that point where you question the tone, rules, or culture or whatever it may take form on a forum...pun intended....:) But then I realized this a social place and if you let it get you to that point, you are spending too much time here. Step back, take a chill pill and enjoy it for what it is...social networking with a common interest in boating. Don't make anymore of it. Keep Calm and Boat On!

Thanks for the cool reply Tom.
Yeah, I read and really appreciate your posts, my point was we see you much less.
I should acknowledge yours and others kind takes more, I am remiss.
The doctors stuck a baseball bat size device up my ass early on and it tore my anus to the point that it glows in the dark with excruciating pain. You could lite firecrackers off it and it won't heal on it's own.
So,, it's just a minute or two sitting and typing,, then a hot load of Oxy and lay back in bed on my side until they cut it proper and sew it all back together this June.

Hope all the past characters like yourself somehow work their way back in to our daily internet lives.

I've not met him in person. I knew his name but forgot it. His old club Ratso's is real but it's been a couple years since I drove past it so I don't know if it's open for business. The day I drove by, it was closed during the day.

I can give you directions and you can go that way and see what you can find out. From what I know, Ratso has moved on to Facebook and is still up to the same crazy shenanigans.

Just Googled it for directions, see below link. It's west on Hwy 6 heading out from I-35. About 10-12 miles on the left. Ratso's is in big letters on the front roof.

Keep us posted on what you find out.
